The Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee recently reported on the implementation of the Chairman’s Meeting during the question and answer session of the third session of the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee.
According to the report of the Municipal People’s Committee, from the beginning of 2020 to the present, in the face of the complex development of the new crown epidemic in Hanoi, the capital’s health department had to concentrate all resources to ensure prevention work. At the same time, ensure that relevant epidemic prevention tasks are completed regularly according to functions and responsibilities.
The Municipal People's Government Committee stated that the number of medical personnel is still insufficient, and medical personnel have to wear multiple hats, have numerous tasks, and have to work overtime, sometimes day and night. However, compared with enterprises, non-public medical units or ministry-affiliated medical institutions, the salary and income levels of medical staff are still limited. Therefore, many medical staff resign or apply to change jobs.
The Hanoi People's Committee said that if the disease breaks out again or a new coronavirus emerges that may spread and be dangerous, the disaster will be very difficult to predict. If there is no system that can support medical personnel in Hanoi in a timely manner, the human resources for epidemic prevention and control cannot be guaranteed.
