According to Taiwan's "United Daily News", regarding the internal poll of the candidate for Kaohsiung mayor of the Chinese Kuomintang, Wang Yumin, deputy secretary-general of the party and chairman of the Cultural Communication Committee Wang Yumin said today (June 22), The Central Committee of the Kuomintang of China did indeed conduct two "internal reference" polls. The top three in the first poll were think tank CEO Ke Zhien, Councilor Chen Lina, and Representative Chen Yuzhen. The second poll included former Kaohsiung City Deputy Mayor Li Sichuan and Yang Zhiliang, the former head of Taiwan’s health department, and the top three are Li Sichuan, Ke Zhien, and Yang Zhiliang.

Wang Yumin explained that the two polls commissioned professional organizations to conduct telephone polls from June 11 to 13 and from June 14 to 17. The credibility and investigation methods of the executing agencies have stood the test and are by no means what the outside world believes. Talk about "fake polls".

Wang Yumin emphasized that since the poll is only for reference for nominations to the selection committee and to avoid causing trouble and harm to relevant parties, other poll details cannot be disclosed. The Selection Committee will make recommendations for nominees as soon as possible based on the poll results and announce them at the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China.
