National Key Cultural Protection Unit (2001.6.25), Shaanxi Sanyuan City God's Temple, located in Xianyang 36 kilometers north of Chenghuang Temple Street, Chengguan Town, Sanyuan County. It was built in the eighth year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1375) and is dedicated to the famous general Li Jing of the Tang Dynasty. It is one of the most complete existing ancient architectural complexes of the Ming and Qing Dynasties in my country.
Sanyuan City God Temple is 50 meters wide from east to west and 212 meters long from north to south. It covers an area of about 1.1 hectares and has a total construction area of 13,390 square meters. There is a screen wall in front of the door, 10 meters high, with dragon and phoenix patterns carved on it and brick reliefs. After entering the door, there is a stone pavement with corridors on both sides. The inner wall is inlaid with Yue Fei's handwritten inscription "Execution of the Master". Pass through two archways and arrive at Lingxing Gate. Go through the theater building and enter the temple. There is a main hall located on a high platform in the north of the courtyard, with a width of 5 rooms and a depth of 4 rooms. It has a double-grooved plane and a single eaves resting on the top of the mountain. The entire building has a unique layout, novel structure, flying eaves, gilded colors, majestic and solemn atmosphere, reflecting the superb skills and outstanding wisdom of ancient craftsmen (original picture).
A 12-meter-high Xieshan archway was built in front of the main entrance, with the words "Weiling Zhaoying Temple" written on the forehead. On the arch, auspicious patterns such as "Dragon Playing with Pearls", "Phoenix Returning to its Nest", "Lion Rolling Hydrangea" and other auspicious patterns were carved on the archway, giving People feel broad and powerful.

The second path is a wooden archway with the inscription "Zhi descends here" and the engraving "King Yao visits the wise" below. , "Yue Fei rushed to take the exam", "Li Bai wrote drunkenly" Allusions, vivid images and strong three-dimensional sense.
The third path after that is the stone archway. The stone on the forehead is engraved with "Ming Ling Guarantee", the vertical flat is engraved with the word "surveillance", and the forehead arch is engraved with allusions such as "Eighteen Bachelors Climb to Yingzhou" and "Three Visits to the Thatched Cottage". , elegant in shape and unique in carving.
The wooden archway in the middle courtyard is the largest in the temple. It is engraved with "Ming Ling Lai Blessing". The brackets on the arch are overlapping, ingenious and precise. The wood carvings are full of edges. There are "Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea", "The Bridge Covers" and "Nuwa Mending the Sky". Waiting for allusions, there are 58 boys carved on the head, with different handsome shapes.

The City God's Hall is a group of main halls composed of a worship hall and a dedication hall. The overall height is 15 meters and the construction area is more than 700 square meters. In the dedication hall, there is a 6-meter-high City God. There are colossi and statues of the four heavenly kings, and 20 paintings reflecting the ten temples of Yama and the eighteen levels of hell are displayed in the worship hall. The base of the entire ceremony is 1.2 meters high. On the east and west side are the Ming Dynasty imperial edicts and the paper-burning tower made of iron during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty. The east and west side halls and the main hall architecture complement each other and are majestic.
To the north of the stone archway is the theater building, which is a nine-ridge Xieshan style building with exquisite construction art and different styles before and after. On the forehead, there are wood carvings of birds and animals such as "Blue Dragon Playing Ao", "Phoenix Crying in the Morning", "Dragon Roaring and Tiger Roaring", "Mighty Lion Xianglin" and other structures on the frame of the bird, with natural and interesting expressions.

The wooden head is carved with dragons, phoenixes, lions, elephants, etc. The overall structure is solemn, the structure is rigorous and the shape is elegant. The shape is similar to the turret of the Forbidden City and is gorgeous. The fourth wooden archway is located in the middle courtyard. It is the largest one in the whole temple. It is engraved with "Ming Ling Mian Blessing". There are allusions such as "Nu Wa patching up the sky" and 58 boys of different handsome shapes are carved on their heads.
