Japanese judo master Masahiko Kimura, who dominated Japan for fifteen years in the 1930s and 1940s, has not lost a single defeat. Call it "Ghost Village" and "The Strongest Fighter in History".
Kimura was born in Kumamoto Prefecture in the sixth year of Taisho (1917). Since childhood, he followed his father to carry sand and gravel with a dustpan in the rapids of the Kase River to exercise the strength of his waist, legs and arms. At the age of 10, he began to practice judo , at the age of 16 in the first year of high school, he won the fourth dan of Kodokan, won the national championship, and was called "the monster of Kyushu".
At the age of 18, Kimura worshipped a famous master and started a more life-threatening life.
His master is Niu Dao Chenxiong, nicknamed "Ghost Niu Dao", and he is a master of training and fighting.

Niu Dao's character is rough and bold, and his eyes are sharp like a vulture, and ordinary people will be scared away by a glance. His training and competitions were perverted: pushing a 60kg rock roller in the morning and topless bouldering at night. Chew the tea leaves to get excited, hit the big tree repeatedly, and use a rope to wrap the trunk of the tree to practice back throwing. The night before the game, he drank turtle blood and played with pit viper powder in his mouth during the game. The game starts off with a wild boar dash for a downright sustained attack.

The same judo creed as Ushima Shura was completely taught to his beloved disciple, Kimura Masahiko.
There are many anecdotes about Kimura's training. For example, in order to achieve absolute victory, he gave himself the creed to "pay three times as hard as others", and practiced up to ten hours a day. The projects were horrific: 1,000 push-ups, 1,000 frog jumps, and 1,000 weight lifts. The second time, like Master, I practiced the back throw technique with a big tree a thousand times, and the tree was withered alive, and I went to practice random access (free combat) with the Metropolitan Police Department and the Imperial Palace police a hundred times every day. He set his sleep time to 3 hours and did suggestion training during his sleep.

The devil-like harsh training made Kimura's physique far surpassing that of ordinary people, and the competition was all overwhelming. He dominated the Japanese judo arena for 15 years without any opponent, and all the judo players of his generation were defeated by Kimura aimed, but no one succeeded.
Kimura has two skills that he is good at: the big outer knives (a throwing technique) of the standing technique and the wrist shackle (anti-joint submission technique) of the sleeping technique . Because it is too powerful in practice, it often dislocates and fractures the opponent, so it was once banned.

Before the competition, Kimura, like Master Ushima, believed that "failure is similar to death". In 1940, before participating in Japan's highest-level Tenran Martial Arts trial, Kimura made up his mind to die, threatening to cut his belly on the spot if he lost. He really slashed blood on his stomach with a short knife the night before the final, and then went on the field with a mortal determination. As a result, all five games were won, and the tiebreaker was overwhelmingly won in just 42 seconds.
During World War II, Kimura and his master Ushishima were anti-war factions, and they resented the Tojo cabinet that plunged Japan into the quagmire of war. At the beginning of 1945, the master and the apprentice conspired with the retired Ishihara Kaner, and planned to get the potassium cyanide bomb newly developed by the Army, infiltrated the palace of the Second Bridge, and blew up with Hideki Tojo. It's a pity that it was informed at the last moment and could not be implemented.

Finally, let’s talk about the two classic battles in Kimura’s life.
Once in Brazil against Elio Gracie . Elio is a legendary figure of the Gracie family. His specialty is ground sleeping skills. When he fights, he attracts attention, and even the President of Brazil watches it himself. In the competition, Kimura completely dominated and broke Elio's wrist with the wrist guard. That is, from this day on, Kimura's wrist guard was named " Kimura lock " by the international fighting community.

Once in 1954 in a professional wrestling match against Rikdosan (Japanese of Korean descent). Kimura participated in professional wrestling because his wife had tuberculosis and needed money to treat her illness. Before the match, the two sides secretly agreed that they would be tied, but Li Daoshan suddenly attacked fiercely, knocking Kimura out in the ring. Because of this humiliating failure, Kimura hated Li Daoshan all his life, thinking he was a despicable villain.

Kimura officially retired from the competition in the 1960s and later served as the supervisor of the Judo Department of the university. He died of cancer in 1993 at the age of 75.
With 15 years of unbeaten record, coupled with far more than ordinary people's physical strength and skills, Kimura is rated as the strongest judoka in Japan. In the history of Japanese judo, there is a person known as the "King of Judo": Yasuyu Yamashita, the champion of the Los Angeles Olympic Games and retired from the first 203 consecutive victories.

However, martial artists who have experienced Kimura's heyday, such as Hirose Yan, Matsumoto Yasushi, Hayakawa Katsuya, all think: "Yamashita-kun is indeed very strong, but he is incomparable to Kimura teacher. Kimura's tens of seconds is a topic in the industry.Kimura's disciple, Kansheng Iwasao, said: "A current player can't even beat a 50-year-old teacher, and no one can stop his wrist-base attack. "

A generation of karate mastersOyama Beida asserted: "Yamashita Taiyu can't even hold on for three minutes. "
