A friend's bathroom built a 6 cm wall. It was originally 12 cm, but because the apartment was small, in order to increase the space in the wet area, he temporarily changed the master to 6 cm on the spot.

The bricks are stacked with less than 4 cm vertically and the double-sided plaster is about 6 cm. He only found the problem after the bricks are stacked.

First, he ignored the load-bearing problem of the bathroom door, and he was worried that there might be shaking when opening the door.
Second, it is ignored that the socket switch is required to be slotted on this wall. He is very worried about what will happen if the slotted wall is opened.

But the tiler told him that the 6-point wall is also very solid, and there is no big problem with hanging things.
But he was still worried that such a thin wall was not solid enough, but he didn't want to remove it. In the end, he considered the load-bearing problem of the wall and had to cancel the plan to install the cabinet.
In order to save a few centimeters of space, he finally sacrificed more storage space. In the end, he only felt that the gain was not worth the loss.
Here are some things to note when building walls. Don’t step on the pit when decorating.
(I) Do not change the size of the wall easily
The wall size is not changed casually. Before changing, be sure to communicate with the designer or foreman to see if there is a better solution and do not act impulsively.

Like my friend's house built a 6-centimeter wall in order to save space. The designer later told him that it could actually be poured with reinforced concrete, which is more sturdy, but it was too late.

(II) The bottom of the newly built wall in the bathroom should be made of reinforced concrete as a waterproof floor beam not less than 15 cm
Because the bathroom is very damp, this can play a waterproof and moisture-proof role. If there is a cabinet behind the wall, it is recommended that the waterproofing of this wall be directly to the top.

(III) It is best to use red bricks to build walls in bathrooms
Red bricks have a high density, low water absorption rate, and are more stable, but they are more submersive than cement bricks .

However, for the sake of environmental protection, many places are using cement bricks, and brick factories also require the production of new types of bricks, such as porous cement bricks, and red bricks are produced less.

(IV) Reinforcement bars should be implanted every 60 cm of the wall
If it is used as a load-bearing wall, such as hanging cabinets or water heaters, it is safer to plant tendons.

It is recommended to implant steel bars every 60 cm. The steel bars should be implanted glue to stabilize the wall.
(V) Small bricks are used to mount the bottom of the wall
If the base is used to mount the base, the stability will be better, it can also prevent the moisture reflux of the ground and reduce the chance of moldy latex paint.

Many masters will not do this. When the owner discovered it, the wall was already very high.
(VI) Connect the wall with a small brick in the middle of the wall

This can increase the stability of the wall. When the back of the wall is wet, it can also prevent the wall paint layer from hollowing due to uneven water absorption.
(7) The top of the wall is built with small bricks

Many people don’t know why the top of the wall is built with oblique shape. does this to make the bond between the wall closer and less likely to crack.
(8) Between the old and new walls, scrape the net first and then plaster

Between the new wall and the old wall, be careful to plaster the net first, otherwise cracking will easily occur in the next period.
(9) The door head beam should be supported by concrete beams

The beams above the door head should be made of concrete , or chrome-plated angle iron below, so as to prevent deformation under the door.
(10) Packing sound insulation cotton for pipes
Pipeline sound insulation is a detail that is easily overlooked in decoration. When building walls of flues and pipes, be sure to wrap sound insulation cotton in advance, otherwise it will be too late to do it in the future.

Some decoration masters may tell the owner that sound insulation cotton is useless if it is wrapped, or if the bricks are wrapped, it has a sound insulation effect and there is no need for sound insulation cotton.
I bought my own decoration at that time. I bought gold damping and soundproof cotton online. I wrapped two bathrooms. Since the renovation has been 2018, the bathroom has been relatively quiet and I can't hear the sound of going into the water. Although the sound insulation cotton is not completely sound insulation, the noise is at least half less. We mean that it is useful or not.
Summary at the end of the article
Many people have different opinions on the question of whether the 6 cm wall is solid and will it crack:
Some people believe that as long as there is no nails or heavy objects on the wall, nothing will happen.
Some people think that building such a thin wall is too challenging for the master to do it. If you don’t push it, you will fall down. You must be rigorous when you encounter safety issues. What kind of views do you support more in
