Hello everyone, I am the Tubo national teacher. It has been one year since last year's orchid seedlings. Through the comparison of different root cultivation in two years, I have the following experience to share with the majority of orchid friends.
1. Keep as many roots as possible in orchids. When I divided the seedlings two years ago, I basically didn’t cultivate the roots much, so I only cut off the empty and dead roots. There were no conjoined seedlings that were difficult to separate, and they were directly planted together in a ball of conjoined seedlings. The growth is very gratifying. It has exploded in two years, with new buds and seedlings constantly and static flowers blooming.

Last year, another pot of orchid was divided into seedlings. This time, the roots of orchids were divided seriously. As a result, the orchids had a wrong root segment and it was difficult to separate them. In order to achieve the effect of one seedling, a large number of root systems were broken. The root systems left on the reed head were about three to four, and a large number of root segments were left on the ground. A year has passed, and although it has grown quite well, it feels that it is not as good as the ones that have been divided in the previous place. After all, the root system of orchids is the most important thing, and only good roots can produce good seedlings.

So, friends orchids, don't cut too many seedlings. If the orchid roots are intertwined, let them intertwin. Don't be afraid that the broken roots will affect the good root system. The broken roots will die on their own in the soil. Don't make the normal root system less and less in order to clean the broken roots.
2. About replacing the basin. Don’t change the pot easily, especially the orchid seedlings that have just been planted for less than a year. Do not change them, and absolutely do not change them unless there are diseases or obvious problems. I can compare it with you. I divided it into four pots two years ago. Later, I thought that the soil of one of them was not good, so I changed it again, and it turned out to be a world of difference.

If you have to change the pot or change the planting material, be careful not to hurt the orchid root. Do not change the pot unless necessary. Try to keep the soil around the orchids still moving when changing.
3. Don’t bother with orchids if you’re okay. There are many orchid masters on the Internet who often take off the pots to show you. They are experts in professional orchid sheds. As ordinary orchid friends, especially those who raise orchids on the balcony of their family, don’t bother. The more you toss, the longer you spend in the orchids.
