Introduction to UKCA certification:
According to the requirements of the UK building product regulations, starting from January 1, 2023, all construction products entering the UK must comply with relevant regulations and standards. After the UK1Brexit , the UKCA (UK Conformity Assessment) mark is the market access mark for products that intend to enter the UK market (England, Wales and Scotland ). It covers most products that originally required the CE logo. At the same time, construction products/foam glass (CG) that enter EU still need to undergo CE certification .
Building insulation material / Mineral Wool Insulation material UKCA mark and CE mark are the same as the manufacturer is responsible for ensuring that the product complies with the standards stipulated in the law. According to the CPR of the building product regulations and the response building product standards (such as: the implementation standard for foam glass (CG) insulation materials is: EN 13167), select the corresponding certification system (System 1, 3 or 4), and inspect the foam glass (CG) products according to the requirements of EN 13162, or evaluate and authenticate them, and add the UKCA mark.

This European standard specifies the requirements for factory-produced foam glass (CG) products for thermal insulation of buildings, with or without surfaces or coatings. These products are made in the form of plates or sheets. The products covered by this standard are also used in prefabricated insulation systems and composite panels; the performance of systems containing these products is not included. This standard describes product characteristics, including procedures for testing, compliance assessment, labeling and labeling.
EN 13167 Foam Glass (CG) Insulation Material UKCA Certification - Certification Process:
1. Fill in the UKCA Certification Application Form,
2. Provide product information, evaluate and certification system (system 1, system 3 or system 4)
3. System 1 conduct factory review or system 3 sample sending test
4. Sample performance testing (EN 13501-1 fire resistance performance level testing, etc.)
5. Issuing test report/UKCA certificate

UK Declaration of Conformity is a document that must be accompanied by most products that legally carry the UKCA logo. In your document as the manufacturer, or your authorized representative (where permitted by relevant laws), you should:
