Yao, some say he was born in Henan, some say he was born in Hebei, and some say he was born in Anhui. There are different opinions. Now most of them are based on Shanxi.

Yao's life experience is even more legendary. Yao's mother Qingdu was the third wife of Emperor Ku, and she had been living in her parents' home after her marriage. One day, Qingdu 's parents took Qingdu to row across the river. When the boat reached the middle of the river, suddenly a shining golden dragon flew and circled in front of Qingdu, as if it was playing with Qingdu. Qingdu was not afraid of it and started playing with it.

Returning home at night, Qingdu dreamed of the dragon flying over and circling in bed at night. When Qingdu woke up, he did not see the dragon, but saw a scroll. Qingdu opened it and saw that it was a red figure with colorful eyebrows, long hair, strong and strong, and the four words "also blessed by God" were written under the scroll. So Qingdu quietly rolled up the scroll and hid it beside him.

One day, Qingdu found out that he was pregnant. He had been pregnant for fourteen months and gave birth to a son named Yao. This son was exactly the same as the portrait on the scroll.

In that primitive society, although Yao was born in the home of the tribal leader, nothing had developed at that time, and the tools they used in daily life were still stones and sticks. In addition, Emperor Ku's mother died. Emperor Ku had to observe mourning for three years, so he had no time to take care of Qingdu mother and son. Yao lived with his mother until he was 13 years old before returning to his father. Yao was smart and kind. When he returned to his father's side, he helped him do a lot of work. When Emperor Ku got old, he passed the title of leader of the alliance to Yao's brother Zhi. Emperor Zhi had been the emperor for more than ten years, but his political performance was mediocre and he did not do anything beneficial to the people. He saw that Yao was better and more capable than himself in all aspects, so he gave his seat to Yao.

After Yao succeeded to the throne, the glory of his holy virtues shone throughout the world. He eradicated the culprits in the four tribes of Gonggong, Huandou, Sanmiao, and Gun. Except for the bad guys, the remaining virtuous people all surrendered to Yao. Yao felt that the country needed to establish a system, so Yao assigned duties and established official positions.

Yao ordered Yu to dredge the river to prevent flooding; he ordered Xizhong, Xishu, Hezhong and Heshu to be called the " Four Mountains ". They lived in the southeast and northwest respectively. They observed the sky and determined the calendar based on the sun. The changes in the moon and stars customized the spring equinox, summer solstice, autumnal equinox, winter solstice and a calendar with 366 days in a year, and one month in three years, and formulated a farming calendar, which greatly facilitated the seasonal solar terms for people to sow and harvest.

Yao was an emperor with both ability and political integrity. Although he was born in a tribal family and later became a king, his life style did not change at all. He lived in the same thatched house as the people, hunted and herded like the people, was respectful to the people, was low-key, and sought happiness for the people.

Yao set up a "drum of remonstrance" in front of his residence to accept complaints and objections from the people. Yao recruited talented people from all over the world and personally visited famous teachers and friends all over the world. He managed the country in an orderly manner, made the world peaceful, flourished all industries, and led the people towards a better future. Yao was indeed a rare ancient emperor.
