Introduction:
In April 1931, the head of the Central Special Section in Shanghai, Gu Shunzhang was arrested in Wuhan and immediately surrendered to the Kuomintang reactionaries.
It was the white terror period at that time. After receiving the information, the Kuomintang immediately took action and followed the secrets provided by Gu Shunzhang and began to launch a major purge of our party.
Because Shanghai at that time was an important link between our party and the local government, many important party and government agencies, such as the Central Special Section responsible for intelligence work, the Shanghai Provisional Central Bureau, and the then Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee were all located in the local area.
Gu Shunzhang's defection marked the complete transparency of the relevant top secrets to the reactionaries from then on. Although our party learned about this matter in time through agents who entered the Central Committee and transferred the underground party and government organs as soon as possible, it still suffered a serious blow.
You should know that Shanghai was one of the most important hubs for our party to connect with various places at that time, especially the northeast of the war zone at that time.
Shanghai party and government organs were hit, making it very difficult for the Manchurian Provincial Party Committee, which led the anti-Japanese war in Northeast China to contact the central government, and the situation in various places has also begun to become precarious.
However, just as the revolutionary situation in Shanghai took a sharp turn, a young man and a woman boarded the train from Henan to Shanghai. When almost everyone was eager to withdraw from the taboo land of Shanghai, they became retrogrades.
This young man and woman, one is called Xu Qiang, and the other is our protagonist today - Li Yun , who was only sixteen years old at the time.
Young Ambition
It may be unfamiliar to everyone when they mention this name. Even if you take it online, you can find several duplicate names.
But this very ordinary name has an extremely great soul behind it, which is worth remembering by every Chinese.
Her story starts with a girl who cared about the world when she was young.
In July 1915, in Suzhou, Jiangsu, a baby girl was born. The elders in the family named the child Zhu Xiuzhen, and later changed the name to Li Yun.
Due to life reasons, Li Yun moved to Shanghai with his family since he was two years old. Although the city has grown bigger, the quality of life of Li Yun’s family remains the same.
This is still lucky for Xiao Li Yun, because her parents attach great importance to her education. When she was young, she was sent to a primary school run by her parents at that time to receive a good education.
At the same time, the young Li Yun was also baptized by the revolutionary activities being carried out at that time.
The 1920s and 1930s was the most turbulent and brilliant era in my country's ideological and cultural circles. The political storm is inspiring the integration and collision of the ideological and cultural circles.
The primary school where Li Yun was at that time was difficult due to the shortage of funds. By chance, it became a refuge for people from our party at that time. There were seven teachers in the school, six of whom were underground members of our party.
, and Li Yun also subtly accepted the thoughts of our party from their lectures, and the germination of "communism" and "socialism" took root in the young heart.
So, under the teacher's arrangement, Li Yun, a sixth-grade, joined China Communist Youth League and officially began his life fighting for the cause of socialism.
soon, and Li Yun's ability also received great attention from our party.
Because the girl is petite and moves quickly, Li Yun, who has been promoted to junior high school, got a job to deliver letters to members of the underground party.
Every time Li Yun hid the letter at his waist. After avoiding the enemy's interrogation, in order to help her comrades attract attention, she would shout slogans such as " Chinese Communist Party 0,000 live the Chinese Communist Party" and "Down with the reactionary government" in front of the enemy.
will then quickly take advantage of the thinness of yourself and get into the crowd, leaving the enemy helpless.
Her work went very smoothly, and she played a big role in contact at that time. Later, Li Yun gave her the job a well-known name "Flying Eagle Conference".
At this time, Li Yun's outstanding performance was known to Xu's superiors. They saw Li Yun's potential as an agent and laid the foreshadowing for her future legendary life.
Not afraid of hardships and dangers
Entering the late 1920s, the domestic revolutionary situation became increasingly steep.
1926, the Guangzhou National Government vowed to the Northern Expedition , which allowed the people of the whole country to see the dawn of the future. Li Yun, who was running around in Shanghai, also received a lot of news, fantasizing about the arrival of a better life.
In March 1927, in order to welcome the Northern Expedition Army to enter Shanghai, Premier Zhou personally led the Shanghai workers to hold an uprising to oppose the reactionary warlord government.
After three battles with the reactionary government, the workers finally occupied Shanghai with armed forces and the Northern Expedition Army entered the city.
Although Li Yun was just a member of the group at that time, he was also involved. Looking at the resolute expressions on the faces of the uncles and aunts around her, she was also looking forward to the beauty of the future in her young heart, so she picked up the red flag in her hand and began to celebrate with all her heart.
However, the beautiful dream was eventually shattered.
After the workers occupied Shanghai with armed forces and the Northern Expedition Army entered the city, the right-wing members of the Kuomintang soon began reactionary actions and even threatened to seize the workers' guns.
Faced with this situation, the Shanghai Central Bureau headed by Premier Zhou fought hard. However, Chen Duxiu's right-leaning surrenderism was prevalent in the party at that time. Although the workers knew it was impossible, they still succumbed to the orders of the National Government.
However, soon, the nightmare came.
On April 12, 1927, the white terror came.
The Chiang Kai-shek government suddenly launched a crazy massacre of progressive people and workers. Countless people bleed on the streets overnight. Li Yun saved his life because he had not joined the party at that time, but he could only live a worried life every day. After
, the party purge movement broke out in Wuhan. Our party held an emergency meeting and decided to establish our own armed forces.
Li Yun, who was young at that time, listened to the people around him talking about these things very seriously. The names of these cities spread in her ears.
Later, as the Nanchang Uprising troops were hit, our party also began to re-examine the development of its work.
In November 1927, in order to deal with the increasingly tense intelligence work, the central government decided to establish a central special department in Shanghai, which is specifically responsible for handling various intelligence work.
At that time, in order to establish a new organization, not only did all kinds of talents be needed, but also was the agents who could adapt quickly and responsively in actual actions.
, and Li Yun became one of the first members to be recruited into special science due to his outstanding performance.
After that, Li Yun received training from the party organization on the one hand, and on the other hand, he also actively carried out various work, repeatedly thwarting the reactionaries' crackdown on our party.
officially joined the party in 1930 and became a qualified Communist Party member.
According to the old man's recollection later, when he joined the party, the leaders of the Shanghai Federation of Trade Unions talked to them. There are three things that she still remembers despite the years:
"First, strictly observe the secrets of the party, second, firmly adhere to the party's distribution."
When and anywhere, she reminded herself to be a qualified Communist Party member, and even to keep it a secret, she never revealed to anyone any tasks she performed.
After that, Li Yun and his party comrade Xu Qiang began a series of cooperation tasks and became husband and wife in the future.
The storm suddenly changed
When Li Yun and his wife returned to Shanghai again, they found that everything had changed.
This is what was mentioned earlier. In 1931, the Shanghai Party organization was severely hit.
After Li Yun and Xu Qiang received the order, they waited until they came to Shanghai. Although they were still bright and bright on the surface, what they saw was devastated.
The workplace they were originally responsible for had long been looted by reactionaries. At this time, they were one of the few forces in Shanghai that could be effectively mobilized.
So under the arrangement of the party organization, the two temporarily became hidden and waited for the next order from the party organization.
In 1935, they received an order from the party organization to go to the streets of Shanghai to find two children .
At that time, Li Yun did not know who the identities of the two children were, but she did not ask too much. She knew very well that these two children must have been because of their special identities, so the party organization specifically asked to search for them.
So soon Li Yun accepted the task and embarked on the journey of finding his children. Compared with various high-risk tasks that have been performed before, finding two children in their teens is obviously much easier.
But in the Shanghai environment at that time, it was still very difficult to complete this task. The first point of
is the reactionary issue. Although Li Yun was not exposed at that time, Shanghai was still the key search site for the reactionary.
The Kuomintang reactionaries at that time claimed that they would rather kill a thousand people by mistake than missed the policy of killing one person. No matter what the other party's identity is, as long as they are suspected of being . The Communist Party may be arrested and tortured.
So in order not to reveal her identity, Li Yun had to do all kinds of disguised behaviors when she went out every day to avoid the eyes and ears of the reactionaries.
The second point is that our party’s organizations in Shanghai were severely hit at that time, so there were very few comrades who could cooperate with Li Yun on the task. Li Yun was almost alone looking for two children in the vast crowd.
Although Shanghai was not as large as today, it was still the premiere metropolis. It was undoubtedly a needle in a haystack to find two young children from millions of people.
Despite facing all kinds of difficulties, Li Yun still accepted the task. In her heart, all difficulties are not difficulties.
Although the process is very difficult, she has to face all kinds of fake news every day, and the layers of encirclement by the reactionaries have caused her to suffer constant blows.
However, Huang Tian paid off. Finally, after searching for many days, next to a dilapidated City God Temple, they found two children who were very consistent with the search target.
These two children cannot tell their age at all on the surface. Because of long-term malnutrition, they have extremely thin bodies. It feels like a gust of wind can blow the two people away.
Seeing these two children, Li Yun wanted to go up and ask, but looking at their thin bodies, he just went up and invited them to the porridge shop next to him for a full meal.
Facing this elder sister who suddenly invited them to dinner, although the two children were more of a meal, they still maintained a very high vigilance. Li Yun's many inquiries ended in vain.
However, years of life in a special agent told Li Yun that the two children are very likely to be the goal she has worked hard to find for many days.
After returning, Li Yun immediately found Feng Xuefeng, the leader of the Shanghai underground party, and told him about his discovery.
Soon the two of them came to the place where they found the child again. When the two children saw that the sister who invited them to dinner last time came again and brought a lot of delicious food.
"Where are you from?" Li Yun asked
"Hunan from." The child replied slowly.
After this, Feng Xuefeng took them to the residence and soon sent someone to tell Li Yun that these two children were the ones they were looking for.
In Li Yun's view, this is just a very ordinary task. After completing it himself, the reconstruction of the Shanghai Party Organization will be carried out next.
Later, Li Yun began to contact Mr. Sun Yat-sen's wife Soong Ching-ling under the arrangement of the party organization. Under Li Yun's careful protection, although Soong Ching-ling was intimidated by the reactionaries many times, he was still safe and sound.
Invisible Guardian
Until one day in May 2011, Chairman Mao Xinyu, the grandson of Chairman Mao, said earnestly in an interview with the media:
"Please help me find a lady named Li Yun, who was originally a staff member of the Central Special Section. She specifically provides secret information for our party. My father and uncle are on the streets, and it was her who found them."
so the truth was revealed.
Comrade Li Yun, who was over 90 years old at the time, was recuperating at the East China Hospital in Shanghai. After searching for it from many sources, Mao Xinyu finally met this benefactor who saved his relatives back then.
It was the first time Li Yun's family knew that his grandmother was actually a senior agent back then.
Li Yun was actually when the founding of the country. When he saw the photos of two brothers in the newspaper, he realized that he had saved Chairman Mao’s two sons.
However, Li Yun always remembered the three precepts that his leader told him back then. He had never mentioned this matter to anyone.
It was not until 2011 that when Mao Xinyu publicly wanted to express his gratitude to her, his family discovered that there was such a great person hidden beside him.
Faced with Chairman Mao’s grandson’s gratitude, Li Yun said calmly:
"Don’t thank me, this is the task assigned to me by the party and I should do it. Now that I tell this history, I can leave with confidence."
Perhaps this really eliminates the old man’s thoughts. On August 16, 2013, the old man passed away in Shanghai at the age of 98.
summary
Old man Li Yun's life is a legend. Whether it is sending letters in his youth, joining the party in his youth, or engaging in various secret work later, she has always insisted on serving the party and making selfless contributions.
I dedicated my life for the motherland and for the cause of communism, but few people know her name. There are many unsung heroes like
, and some people cannot even leave their names like Comrade Li Yun.
It was not until many years later that their secret past was known to the world, and later generations realized such a great revolutionary hero.
As written on the Memorial of the Unknown Martyrs: "No one knows your name, your achievements will last forever."
