Once, Zhu Di's Northern Expedition Army set out from Lingxiao Peak. Due to the rapid march, the three civil officials, Jin Youzi, Hu Guang, and Yang Rong , failed to catch up with Zhu Di's car at the first time, resulting in getting lost in the deserted valley. It was not until the next day that he had a difficult journey back to the camp. When Zhu Di saw the three of them coming back safely, he was overjoyed and chatted for a few words and asked them to go back early to rest.
Jin Youzi and others walked out of Zhu Di's tent and ran into Fang Bin, the Minister of War. Fang Bin told them: "The emperor knew last night that you three must have lost. He was very worried about your safety and sent many people to search for it."
Jin Youzi was very moved after hearing this. In his book "Preface to the Northern Expedition", he sincerely expressed his gratitude for Zhu Di for his goodwill. Born in a water town in the south of the Yangtze River, he followed Zhu Di to the cold and desolate northern desert, and must have suffered a lot.
