In the early 1930s, the Kuomintang reactionaries strengthened the suppression of Shanghai underground party organizations, and a large number of comrades were arrested, and everyone in Shanghai was in danger for a while. However, the surviving comrades did not stop their work, and still risked their lives to collect and transfer intelligence to help the Party Central Committee fight against the enemy. Zhang Ruihua was one of them.
Zhang Ruihua is a progressive woman. She broke free from the shackles of feudalism. When she was in middle school, she fought back against the old forces with her awakened classmates and became the pioneer of the times. After the outbreak of the Northern Expedition , she was eager to participate in the revolution, so she secretly ran to Wuhan and applied for the Whampoa Military Academy branch. Coincidentally, General Nie Rongzhen, was working in the Hubei Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China at that time. He had visited the military academy and met Zhang Ruihua.
As graduation approached, just as Zhang Ruihua was full of confidence and was about to join the army and declare war on the warlord forces, Chiang Kai-shek suddenly "changed his face" and was not conducive to the Communists. At that time, the left of the Kuomintang supported the Communists. Wang Jingwei announced in Wuhan that Chiang Kai-shek had betrayed the revolution and vowed to attack him. Zhang Ruihua was inspired to join the logistics department and support the army to fight against Chiang.
But not long after, Wang suddenly turned against him and colluded with Chiang Kai-shek, excluding the communist camp. The party organization immediately ordered Zhang Ruihua to go south to Jiangxi and participate in the armed uprising. But when she went through a lot of hardships to reach Nanchang , the uprising had ended and the troops turned to Guangdong. Under the leadership of Marshal Ye Jianying, she secretly arrived in Guangzhou and prepared to organize another uprising.
The conditions for the uprising were immature at that time, and the command and leadership were too hasty and failed to take all the problems into consideration. As a result, the uprising suffered major setbacks and damaged many good comrades. In order to avoid the pursuit of enemy spies, Zhang Ruihua went to Hong Kong and began to engage in underground activities to convey intelligence to the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee.
During this period, Zhang Ruihua met President Nie again. At this time, President Nie happened to be a member of the Guangdong Provincial Party Committee. The two had contact with each other during work and developed a good impression of each other. They naturally got together and held a wedding in Hong Kong in 1928. In 1930, the couple was appointed by the party organization and went north to Tianjin to work for a short time, then went south to Shanghai, and under the leadership of Premier Zhou, fighting wits and courage against the enemy on the underground front.
1931, due to some internal betrayal, the list of party organization personnel leaked. The Kuomintang immediately began to conduct a large-scale search in Shanghai, persecuting a large number of ambitious people. Although the situation was critical, Zhang Ruihua did not stop the work at hand, and continued to pass on information to the outside world at great risk, striving to minimize the losses. In 1932, after a little overwhelming, she immediately joined forces with her newly sent comrades to rebuild the underground intelligence network.
1934, Zhang Ruihua was arrested by the enemy for his online launch and soon turned against her. She was immediately betrayed, arrested by the enemy, and suffered inhuman torture. But she gritted her teeth and did not reveal any information, and she adhered to the bottom line of being a Communist! In the summer of 1935, the party organization entrusted people everywhere to mediate, and finally rescued her from prison and sent her to Yan'an. Since then, she has been working in North China and accompanied Nie Mai. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, she served as deputy director of the Central Organization Department of , and made significant contributions to the construction of New China. She died in 1995 at the age of 86. Her daughter Nie Li is also a beautiful woman. She studied in the Soviet Union and returned to China after graduation. She is committed to the development of missile and has made outstanding contributions. In 1993, Nie Li was awarded the rank of lieutenant general, becoming the first female general in New China to receive this honor.
Comrade Zhang Ruihua is tenacious, loyal and strong willpower. Since participating in the revolutionary work, she has always followed the footsteps of the party organization and unswervingly move towards a new tomorrow of communism. Although she encountered twists and turns on the way, her belief was not shaken at all. Finally, after decades of hard work, she finally established a regime of the people with her comrades and liberated the vast number of working people. It is obvious that she is a great revolutionary and a pioneer in setting the way for the proletariat of and she deserves our respect!
