In the tenth year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1860), the Taiping Army conquered Jiaxing and established the royal palace as the local military and political leadership organization. After the middle of the Qing Dynasty, Jiaxing's economic and urban appearance gradually declined and withered due to imperialism and exploitation by feudalism. On November 7, 1911, the party members of the Xinhai Revolution liberation of Jiaxing and established the Jiaxing Military and Political Branch. In the early days of the Republic of China, the prefecture and preservation county was abolished and renamed Jiahe County, and later it was called Jiaxing County. In early August 1921, the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China closed on a cruise ship in Nanhu, Jiaxing, announcing the founding of the Communist Party of China.
