"Classmates, get up, and on the road to the light, we are the masters of creating a new China." He hummed this anti-war song softly, in a mist In the rich morning, I came to the former site of the Tangtian Wartime Academy in Shaoyang City, Hunan Province.

By the Fuyi River, under the Furong Peak. This wartime academy was hailed as the "Southern Anti-Japanese War". On the right side of the gate of the former school site, the name of the college inscribed by General Zhang Aiping is hung. Entering the lobby of the house from the gate, you can see the houses are carved with beams and painted ridges, stone pillars, stone carvings, and window lattices are exquisitely decorated. Those who visit here for the first time will inevitably wonder: Why is a wartime school so decorated?

Back in 1938, the Japanese iron hoof crossed Pingjin all the way south and invaded Hunan. The Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China called on the compatriots in the province to fight for the defense of Hunan, and called on the young people to go to the army and to the front line. In June of this year, the historian Lv Zhenyu suggested to the Hunan Provincial Party Committee to establish a lecture academy in Wugang County to teach Marxism-Leninism , anti-Japanese ideology and strategies, and train grassroots anti-Japanese cadres. This proposal was supported by the Hunan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Xu Teli, the representative of the Central Committee in Hunan. With the help of the people in Wugang, Lv Zhenyu found this house built by the Prince Shaobao Xi Baotian during his lifetime. Hearing that the descendants of Xi Baotian were running a school, they not only agreed with pleasure, but also waived the rent. The college is under the direct leadership of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, with Lv Zhenyu in charge of the overall work, and a member of the Communist Party of China and a famous writer Zhang Tianyi as the dean. The majority of college leaders and teachers are Communists and progressives.

However,In the early stages of preparation, the Academy was obstructed in every possible way by the Kuomintang reactionaries. They claimed that the establishment of private schools "must be prepared in accordance with legal procedures" in an attempt to stifle the Communists' desire to run schools. In August 1938, the college broke through the containment of reactionary forces, completed the preparatory work with difficulty, began to recruit students nationwide, and officially opened on September 15.

The yard has a construction area of 2448 square meters, and there are more than 60 rooms in size. Walking through the pavilions connecting the front and rear buildings, people can also see rows of rooms, some of the living and learning utensils are still in their original positions, but the years have left traces on them. Back then, the teachers and students of the Lecture Academy were here to fight while carrying out teaching.

We visited at the beginning of the heavy rain. The sun shines through the mist on the patio, reflecting a rainbow. The cobblestone pavement of Qianping carried wet traces of water, and a few grasses emerged from the cracks in the stone, full of vitality. At that time, the "Southern Anti-Dalian" was shrouded in the haze of white terror.

Speaking college was extremely hated by the Kuomintang’s "Hemocratic Communist" forces. They deliberately wanted to disband the Speaking Academy, and sabotage activities became more rampant. An important member of the Kuomintang party Chen Lifu accused the college of "propagating intricate ideas, fooling the youth", "deceiving the masses, trying to disrupt social order, and endangering the Three People's Principles of " and other unreasonable charges. On April 20, 1939, the Wugang County Government of the Kuomintang ordered the Lecture Academy to be dissolved. On May 13, 1939, the Kuomintang army regiment surrounded Tangtian Wartime Lecture Academy. On the 16th, Dean Lu Zhenyu risked his life to negotiate. Faced with the unreasonable demands of the Kuomintang army to hand over the hospital seal, the hospital placard, and the full roster, he sternly refused: "If you make money for promotion, you can use my head. Do you want to frame these innocent youths and innocent youths by roster? Are employees loyal to the education work of the War of Resistance Against Japan and the National Salvation?"

In order to preserve the revolutionary strength in front of the brutal enemy, with the consent of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, the school decided to shut down. After the dissolution of the school, some teachers and students rushed to Yan'an, some returned to their hometowns to establish party organizations, some remained in the Kuomintang-controlled area for underground work, and some joined the New Fourth Army... They continued to spread the party’s revolutionary theories in new ways, and The enemy fought unyieldingly.

Standing in the office where Dean Lu Zhenyu once worked,Looking at his manuscripts, we seem to be able to feel the unyielding souls of the revolutionary ancestors in the precarious old China. The people of Sri Lanka have gone, but the people with lofty ideals who are running to save the nation from peril, their souls have merged into the majestic Furong Peak mountain range, and their pulse will always be beating with the galloping Fuyi River .

Although the Tangtian Wartime Speaking Academy only lasted 8 months, the results were fruitful. She trained more than 250 progressive youths for the party and developed more than 50 communist members. These people later became the backbone of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation . Revolutionary teachers and students also set up grassroots party organizations in Xinning, Chengbu, Dongkou and other places, which promoted the development of the anti-Japanese and national salvation movement in the province, and wrote a glorious stroke in the history of the war of resistance in Hunan Province.

In the winter of 1945, when Zhou Enlai attended the Hunan Work Forum in Yan'an, he did not forget the role of "Southern Anti-Dalian". He preached: During the war, Tangtian said that the academy was like a furnace, thrown into ore, molten iron rushed, was violently smashed by the reactionaries, sparks splashed, turned into countless sources of fire, burning everywhere.

Now, the former school site has become a national key protection unit, a patriotic education base in Hunan Province, and a famous red tourist attraction. On the occasion of celebrating the centenary of the founding of the party, I once again stepped into this red site and listened to the stories of the ancestors, and I was extremely excited. The sun is in the middle of the sky, the clouds are clearing and the fog is scattered, the world is clear and bright. The brilliant sun shines into this quaint mansion, and the blue bricks and tiles are shining brightly. The stories of those years will be passed on for a long time.
