The pioneer of the democratic revolution in modern China, Sun Yat-sen , known as the "Father of the Republic of China", once had a marriage when living in Japan, and also had a daughter and two grandchildren.
But Sun Yat-sen's love history has been sealed for a hundred years. And the situation of Japanese descendants has not been well-known to the public for a long time.
Kaoru Otsuki
In fact, in Sun Yat-sen's revolutionary career, there is a very important station, that is, Yokohama, Japan.
During the 30 years from 1895 to 1924, Sun Yat-sen engaged in revolutionary activities and went to Japan 18 times. He has lived and lived in Japan for nine and a half years, and he spent all of the eight years in Yokohama.
When Sun Yat-sen went to Japan for the second time, his transnational year-end love began. On August 16, 1897, after he escaped from danger in London, Sun Yat-sen came to Yokohama, Japan.
As soon as he arrived here, he lived in the Chen Shaobai house in Naka-ku, Yokohama. At the beginning of the second year, he moved to a two-story building in Yamashita-cho, Naka-ku, Yokohama. .
This house belongs to a friend of Sun Yat-sen, whose name is Wen Bingchen , a Chinese businessman in Japan. Of course, when Sun Yat-sen was carrying out revolutionary activities in Japan, Wen Bingchen also acted as his translator.
In the autumn of 1898, a good friend of Wen Bingchen also rented a house here.
This friend of his is a Japanese businessman named Otsuki Sutang , but there was a fire in his house and the house was burned down, so he temporarily lived here with Bingchen Xiangwen.
Therefore, Dayue Sutang's family became neighbors with Sun Yat-sen.It's just that Sun Yat-sen lives on the first floor of a bungalow, while Da Yue Sutang's family lives on the second floor.
Otsuki Sutang has a young daughter named Otsuki Kaoru , who was only 10 years old at that time. One day, Otsuki Kaoru accidentally broke the vase in the room, and the water in the vase flowed through the cracks in the floor to Sun Yat-sen's house on the first floor.
Otsuki Kaoru is helpless and dare not tell his father. At that time, Sun Yat-sen was chatting with Wen Bingchen in the room. When he saw water dripping down, Wen Bingchen went upstairs to check the situation.
Otsuki Kaoru’s father asked Otsuki Kaoru to accompany Wen Bingchen downstairs to apologize to Sun Yat-sen out of apology. This was the first time Sun Yat-sen and Otsuki Kaoru met.
Later, Otsuki Sutang's family had a new home and moved to Maedaqiao Street in Yokohama, but he still maintained a relatively close exchange with Wen Bingchen and Sun Yat-sen.
After more than 3 years, in 1902, Sun Yat-sen proposed to Da Yuexun’s father Da Yue Sutang through Wen Bingchen, that is, asked Wen Bingchen to propose marriage on his behalf.
Wen Bingchen had a great influence at the time. He was a cadre of the Yokohama branch of the Xingzhonghui and had a deep friendship with Otsuki Sudang, so Sun Yat-sen let him come forward.
That year Sun Yat-sen was 36 years old, and Otsuki Kaoru was only 14 years old, and he was still a first-year student at Yokohama High School Girls' School, so Otsuki Sudang declined Sun Yat-sen on the grounds of "daughter or middle school student".

Between 1902 and 1903, Sun Yat-sen was still in the low tide of the revolution. At that time, he was in a low mood and felt very lonely.
At that time, there were not many Chinese with him. About ten people including Ma Junwu , Liao Zhongkai , etc.But Wu Zhihui and others were not willing to meet Sun Yat-sen in 1902.
In a letter from Sun Yat-sen to Hirayama Zhou on November 6, 1903, he said: "Brother has nothing to do here. However, due to financial difficulties, he retreats to wait for the opportunity ." It is also possible from here. Seeing that Sun Yat-sen's anxiety and anxiety also reflects his lack of emotional comfort.
In 1903, Sun Yat-sen once again made a request to marry Otsuki Kaoru, but it was still rejected for the same reason.
So Sun Yat-sen directly proposed to Otsuki Kaoru. At that time, the 15-year-old Otsuki Kaoru was in love with Sun Yat-sen, and was moved by Sun Yat-sen's deep emotions, so in the end, Otsuki Kaoru was with Sun Yat-sen regardless of his parents' objections.
Marriage at the age of 15 was allowed in Japan at the time, and Kaoru Otsuki's parents eventually compromised.
Later, 37-year-old Sun Yat-sen and 15-year-old Otsuki Kaoru held a relatively ordinary wedding in Yokohama, and the two officially became husband and wife.
On September 26, 1903, in order to complete his revolutionary cause, Sun Yat-sen went to Nanyang alone to raise the necessary funds for the revolution.
During this period, Sun Yat-sen continued to write letters and mail tuition fees to Kaoru Otsuki. In the early summer of 1905, Sun Yat-sen went to Japan again.
In this year, Kaoru Otsuki became pregnant and gave birth to a daughter on May 12, 1906. Regarding the daughter’s name, because Sun Yat-sen’s real name was " grandson ", he first called this daughter " ", and later changed his name to Fumiko , Because the Japanese pronunciation of "Fumi" is the same as "文".
However, for the revolutionary cause, it is impossible for Sun Yat-sen to give up his ideals for a Japanese woman. In October 1905, before Sun Yat-sen's daughter was born, he left Japan again and went to Hong Kong.
Although Sun Yat-sen first contacted Otsuki Kaoru's mother and daughter through Wen Bingchen, but due to many objective factors, Sun Yat-sen eventually cut off contact with Otsuki Kaoru's mother and daughter, and Sun Yat-sen never met his daughter from beginning to end.
After that, Kaoru Otsuki once had a chance to meet Sun Yat-sen in Yokohama, Japan. It was in March 1913 after the victory of the Revolution of 1911. Sun Yat-sen officially visited the Chenlei Factory in Japan as a national railway supervisor.
So Sun Yat-sen came to Yokohama again. When Otsuki Kaoru heard the news, he contacted Wen Bingchen, hoping to attend Sun Yat-sen's welcome party, and Wen Bingchen agreed.
Unfortunately, Otsuki Kaoru fell ill during this period and did not go.
Actually, Sun Yat-sen also talked to his friends about having a daughter in Japan. In the one or two years since Sun Yat-sen left Japan, he also used a pseudonym to send money to Kaoru Otsuki, but later he was busy with the revolution and stopped sending money.
At the beginning, Kaoru Otsuki relied on Sun Yat-sen's money for his life, but after unable to contact Sun Yat-sen, Kaoru Otsuki lost his financial aid. In the end, Otsuki Kaoru had to sell the engagement ring Sun Yat-sen gave her in order to make a living.
At that time, Dayue Sutang saw that her daughter had no husband, and was worried that people outside were talking about gossip. Finally, he reluctantly registered his granddaughter in the name of his youngest daughter "Fumiko" in his household registration. The date of birth was written It was December 12, 1907.
So Kaoru Otsuki and Fumiko were originally a mother-daughter relationship, but they became a "sister relationship" in their household registration.
In November 1911, when Fumiko was just 5 years old, the life of Kaoru Ohtsuki's mother and daughter became very difficult, Kaoru Ohtsuki was unable to raise her daughter alone. So afterwards, through an acquaintance, she gave her daughter Fumiko to a family in , Yokohama, as an adopted daughter.
This family is Miyagawa Meiji . They are in the business of drinking water, and their family conditions are relatively good. After Fumiko was adopted by Miyagawa Umeyoshi's family, she was also given the surname "Miyagawa" and became Miyagawa Fumiko .
Miyagawa Fumiko
After those two years, the time came to 1913. Through persuasion by others, Otsuki Kaoru married , the younger brother of the governor of Shizuoka Bank. Gave birth to a daughter.
But this marriage did not last long, because Kaoru Otsuki actually secretly kept a letter sent by Sun Yat-sen before, and this was discovered by Hideji Miwa, so he finally went to divorce.
After that, Kaoru Otsuki buried his past in his heart. In 1915, Otsuki Kaoru married far to Toko-ji Temple in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture, and married the abbot of the temple Shikata Motoshin . In Japan, the abbot of a temple can start a family.
Later, Kaoru Ohtsuki gave birth to son Shifang Yuanxin and daughter Shouzi .
Fumiko, who has left her biological parents, has gradually grown up in Miyagawa's family.
Fumiko is smarter, and her grades were at the forefront when she was in elementary school. However, Miyagawa's family was in the liquor business and didn't care about Fumiko's studies, so Fumiko dropped out of school after finishing elementary school.
until 1951,Fumiko's grandfather, Otsuki Sutang, missed her very much and came to confess her. At this time, Fumiko was 45 years old. After that, Fumiko learned that his biological mother was Kaoru Otsuki, and his biological father was the famous revolutionary Sun Yat-sen.
After knowing her own life experience, Fumiko was angry at her mother's abandonment of herself, but she still wanted to meet her when her mother was still alive.
So, in 1956, Fumiko, accompanied by her husband, came to Toko Temple to meet Kaoru Otsuki. At that time Kaoru Otsuki was almost 70 years old.
Fumiko was going to ask her mother for an explanation, but when she saw her mother, all her grudges and grievances were forgotten, only the nostalgia between the mother and daughter.
Otsuki Kaoru, who is almost 70 years old, once said that no matter what the current situation is, Sun Yat-sen is a very good and great man in her heart.

After that, Fumiko said: " 's father has a strong patriotism, and he has been fighting for the future of China regardless of the danger of his life. And his mother gave herself to others for the sake of survival. Adopted daughter, there was no way at that time."
Otsuki Kaoru’s third husband, Shifang Yuanxin, passed away in 1960. Ten years later, Otsuki Kaoru himself died in 1970. He has lived for 82 spring and autumn years.
After the death of these two elders, Fumiko also went to the funeral. In June 1977, the KMT cadres Zhang Dingsong invited Fumiko Miyagawa and his son Toichi Miyagawa to come to Chinese Taipei.
They said to Fumiko: " has made you suffer for so many years .
In Taipei, Fumiko and his mother visited the Zhongshan Memorial Hall. After seeing the statue of his father, Fumiko stood there for a long time, and finally said, " . It turns out that my wide forehead and deep eye sockets are inherited from my father! ”
In November 1980, with the help of the Chinese Embassy in Japan, Fumi and his son visited mainland China. They traveled from Shanghai to Beijing via Nanjing and were also warmly received by relevant parties.

in When paying respects to Nanjing Zhongshan Mausoleum, Fumiko was very excited and she shed tears. She said with great relief: " can meet his father who has never met in this life. There is nothing to regret anymore. I am proud of my father who dedicated his life to China regardless of his own life. ”
In 1990, Fumiko Miyagawa passed away at the age of 84 and was buried at Shinfukuji Temple in Yokohama.
