Some time ago, I wrote an article to introduce Mr. Sun Yat-sen’s original wife, Ms. Lu Muzhen. In fact, besides Ms. Lu Muzhen, the virtuous women behind Sun Yat-sen also include Chen Cuifen, Sun Yat-sen's concubine.

Chen Cuifen is the prototype of "A Fen" in the TV series "The Revolution of 1911". She was born in the twelfth year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty. Because she is the fourth oldest in her family, there are "Four Girls", "Four Gus" and "Chen Sigu" "Is called.

Ms. Lu Muzhen is a traditional Chinese woman who lives with her husband, teaches her children, and supports her parents, so she cannot accompany Sun Yat-sen when he is running for the revolution. And Ms. Chen Cuifen just made up for this shortcoming.

About the eighteenth year of Guangxu, Chen Cuifen met Sun Yat-sen, and then followed Sun Yat-sen to become his revolutionary assistant. Sun Yat-sen is running for the revolution, and Ms. Chen Cuifen is by the side, taking care of daily life, passing on information, and making contributions to the cause of revolution.

When Sun Yat-sen was dormant in Japan and continued to work hard for the revolutionary cause, Chen Cuifen used his wife to cover Sun Yat-sen's revolutionary activities. The Yokohama residence where the two lived temporarily became a revolutionary base.

The righteous men who communicated with Sun Yat-sen to discuss revolutionary matters were all received by Ms. Chen Cuifen. Liao Zhongkai, Hu Hanmin, Chiang Kai-shek and others have all been taken care of by him, and they cordially call Chen Cuifen the "four aunts."

Huang Sande recalled that time when he said: "I saw Mr. Zhongshan's concubine waiter, a kind of talent. Zhongshan has married her for more than ten years. In the past, he had trouble in Zhennan and failed. Leaving Annan in Hanoi, cooking dinner with the brothers, washing clothes, and enduring hardship.”

Not only Chinese revolutionaries praised Ms. Chen Cuifen, but foreign revolutionaries who followed Sun Yat-sen also highly praised Chen Cuifen. The Japanese samurai Miyazaki Tokura who followed Sun Yat-sen once said: “The Chinese comrade who takes care of Mr. Sun’s daily life is really a heroine. She uses long chopsticks and has big eyes, like a man eating. Only in this way can women of revolutionaries take on major issues.”

In addition to taking care of Sun Yat-sen’s daily life like ordinary women, Chen Cuifen also played a role in transmitting information at critical times. Before the Battle of Huizhou, the transportation of arms and equipment and the transmission of information to the crew were all done by Chen Cuifen.

The identity of a woman gave her a good cover. Although she got on and off the ship many times, she was not noticed by the Japanese. Because of this, she can always complete the task perfectly.

She followed Sun Yat-sen for more than ten years, was born and died, and suffered hardships, but after the founding of the Republic of China, she succeeded. She avoids Nanyang, never mentions her legendary experience, nor does she show off her achievements to others.

Lu Muzhen and Chen Cuifen have a very good relationship, and they are in the same relationship as sisters. Lu Muzhen's son, Sun Ke, went abroad for inspection. He personally visited him when he was passing through Nanyang, and then invited her back to settle in Hong Kong.

In 1931, Chen Cuifen returned to Hong Kong with his adopted daughter Sun Zhongying, and later moved to Guangzhou. According to her grandson, when the Anti-Japanese War broke out, Ms. Chen Cuifen used a burden to carry them on the battlefield to fight against Japan.

After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Ms. Chen Cuifen returned to Guangzhou. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he settled in Hong Kong, died of illness in 1960, and was later buried in the tomb of the Sun family.
