Speaking of General Qin Jiwei, anyone who is familiar with military history knows that it was the founding lieutenant general who attacked the US army by the command post as the commander of the 15th Army in the Battle of Shangganling.
When New China first awarded the title, Qin Jiwei was awarded the rank of lieutenant general. After the PLA restored the rank system, he was awarded the general. Qin Jiwei was also the first group of generals after the PLA restored the military rank system in the late 1980s.
In the long-term revolutionary war career, General Qin Jiwei has made outstanding achievements and made great contributions to the country and the people. At the same time, Qin Jiwei also cultivated two sons with the rank of lieutenant general. This is not easy.
Qin Jiwei is a native of Hong'an, Hubei. He joined the Red Army at the age of 14, and then participated in the Huangma Uprising, and his revolutionary career began. He experienced the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the War of Liberation, and the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. During his magnificent military career, Qin Jiwei established a magnificent military service.
Although Qin Jiwei has performed well in all stages of the revolution, his real success was the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. During the War of Resistance against U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, Qin Jiwei was the commander of the 15th Army of the Volunteer Army. After his 15th Army made great sacrifices in the Battle of Shangganling, he successfully completed the very arduous combat tasks assigned by his superiors, and thus gained the reputation of the volunteers. The U.S. military was frightened by the news.
Qin Jiwei's life, feats and feats, some of his things have also been talked about by future generations. After the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea ended, Qin Jiwei returned to China. By chance, Qin Jiwei came to the war criminals management office to report to the war criminals. Pu Yi was one of Qin Jiwei's audience at that time. This report made Pu Yi remember deeply. In Pu Yi's autobiography, it is still recorded in detail. At that time, General Qin Jiwei shook his fan and told them about the battle of Ganling.
Qin Jiwei has two sons. The eldest son, Lieutenant General Qin Weijiang, has been in the army since he was young. After graduation, he came to serve in a unit of the Beijing Military Region. Later, he was admitted to the National Defense University, majoring in foreign military strategy, obtained a master's degree after graduation, and then returned to serve in the army. Among the military-level cadres at that time, Qin Jiwei was one of the few officers with a master's degree. After the military reform, he served as the deputy commander of the Eastern Theater Command and the commander of 东战区军. It is a pity that Qin Weijiang later retired in office and missed the chance to be a general.
Qin Tian, the second son of General Qin Jiwei, also joined the army when he was young, and was later awarded a lieutenant general. Although Qin Tian’s resume is not as brilliant as his brother’s, he himself is also a very good senior military officer. He used to serve as a minister (at the military level) of the Research Department of the National Defense University. After leaving his job at the National Defense University, Qin Tian went to the Armed Police Force. In office, he is now the deputy commander of the Armed Police Force.
General Qin Jiwei devoted his life to the country and the people. As far as the country is concerned, he is an outstanding general. As far as the children are concerned, he is a strict father. Qin Weijiang and Qin Tian said that their father never gave them any special care, nor did they enjoy any special treatment because their father was the founding lieutenant general. Both of their brothers are senior officers who grew up from the grassroots army.
Qin Jiwei has contributed his whole life to the country and the people. In the revolutionary war years, he was nine dead. In the later period of the Agrarian Revolutionary War, Qin Jiwei once accompanied the West Route Army and was a head of the West Route Army. After the army was broken up, Qin Jiwei led more than 20 people in the army to fight guerrillas with the enemy. At that time, March was still the winter, the coldest time. The group of them fought with the enemy on Qilian Mountains for a week. A team of more than 20 people only had 4 people left in the battle. After running out of ammunition and food, he was hunted down by the Ma Jiajun. Qin Jiwei took out his gun and prepared to kill himself, but was stopped by a soldier. As long as you live, you can fight, if you die, everythingIt's all over. Later, the group of them became prisoners of Ma Jiajun. After being detained for several months, Qin Jiwei took the opportunity to escape when they were transferred.
In the later battle of Shangganling, Qin Jiwei, as the highest commander of this battle, had no rest for seven days and nights and was under tremendous pressure. In the face of the US military, whose weapons and equipment are far superior to ours, the Volunteers fought very hard. The front-line troops guarding Shangganling were almost killed or wounded. Qin Jiwei even prepared to take military personnel to support the front line.
Such a general who has made great contributions to the country and the people has never considered giving his children special treatment. He himself was awarded lieutenant general and was later promoted to general. Because he is a general and understands that it is not easy to become a general, Qin Jiwei is very strict with his two children. After the start of the self-defense counterattack against Vietnam, he sent Qin Tian to the front-line troops to exercise and accept the test and baptism of the war. The so-called big love is probably so.
Whether it is the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea or the self-defense and counterattack war against Vietnam, we are already farther and farther away. But even though the smoke of war has dissipated, those of us who enjoy peace cannot forget the war, let alone those revolutionary heroes who braved the rain of guns and bullets during the revolutionary war years to lay down this world for us. Because of them, there is today's peace and tranquility.
