Armor of the Eight Banners
Hello everyone, I am Lantai.
There is often a saying that The Eight Banners disciples in the Qing Dynasty are all uneducated and have no skills. They only know fighting chickens lackeys and cage bird waste all day long; Teacher Feng Gong even starred in a TV series " Na Wu " that reflects the down-and-out Eight Banners disciples.
However, Lantai wants to tell everyone that this is only one side of the Eight Banners disciples in the Qing Dynasty, not all of the Eight Banners disciples.
In fact, the Qing Dynasty royal family Aixinjueluo family itself is a quite stingy family. The Aixinjueluo family is very disgusted with the behavior of "all eating and no work".

Queens of the Qing Dynasty dressed up
01,
Before Emperor Yongzheng came to the throne, even the men of the Aixinjueluo family would be incorporated into this banner as long as they did not have a serious "errand" (job) after adulthood. The flag owner's coat, (of course, this also proves in disguise that the coat is not a slave in law, otherwise wouldn't it mean that members of the Aisin Gioro royal family have also become slaves?)
Moreover, the Qing Dynasty also had a special "stingy" rule. Anyone who received a title was not allowed to receive the title salary if he did not have an "errand".
In short, the Qing Dynasty stipulated that even nobles must have a serious job. If they did not have a job, even if they had a title, they would not be able to obtain the annual salary corresponding to the title.
To put it bluntly, even if you are a noble, as long as you don't work for the Aisin Gioro family, you will not receive wages.
Even the Qing Dynasty created a strange rule that the clan must lead troops to go to war and if the battle is lost, the clan must compensate for the war losses.
For example, Prince Shuncheng, one of the "Eight Iron Hat Kings" who founded the Qing Dynasty, lost the battle in the northwest during the Yongzheng period. As a result, Emperor Yongzheng fined the eighth Prince Shuncheng 340,000 taels of silver, and this money The Prince of Shuncheng was not repaid until the fall of the Qing Dynasty.
Even if the emperor's brother wants to "just take money and not work", it won't work.

Emperor Yongzheng's "twentieth brother" Yinyi (the twentieth son of Emperor Kangxi) is estimated Ji felt that he did not pose any threat to his fourth brother, so after Emperor Yongzheng came to power, he wanted to completely "take money and not work", and showed great resistance to the missions sent to him by Emperor Yongzheng. As a result, his fourth brother directly demoted him from Baylor to Fu Guogong. This is equivalent to being demoted three levels in a row:
Jian Jingbeile Yunyi, the twentieth son of the Holy Ancestor. In the fifty-fifth year of Kangxi's reign, he began to follow outside the Great Wall, and he followed him frequently. In the fourth year of Yongzheng's reign, he was granted the title of "Beizi". In February of the eighth year, he entered Baylor. In August of the twelfth year, he was ordered to offer sacrifices to the mausoleum. He claimed that he was ill and could not do it, so he was demoted to assist the Duke. In September of the thirteenth year, Gaozong ascended the throne, restored the title of Baylor, and guarded Tailing. ——"Manuscripts of Qing History·Biographies·Volume 7"
Taken together, the successive emperors of Aisin Gioro in the Qing Dynasty were very harsh "employers" to the clan, nobles and even the Eight Banners.

02,
How harsh is the Aisin Gioro royal family?
Lantai did a little research on the family of Empress Yuan (the first empress of the Qing emperor) in the Qing Dynasty. Good guy, basically someone must have died in battle within three generations.
Except for Qing Dynasty ancestor Emperor Shunzhi's Yuan Empress, who was the only "deposed queen" of the Qing Dynasty, the Borzigit family was born in the Horqin tribe of Mongolia and was the daughter of Prince Horqin Zhuoli Ketu. Her brothers and descendants were all hereditary Mongolian princes of the Qing Dynasty. Almost all the "descendants" of the other Qing Dynasty queens died in battle.
Take Emperor Kangxi's Yuan Empress - Empress Xiaochengren Hesheli as an example. Her younger brother Hesheli Changhai had a son named Dingshou (the surname Hesheli was omitted). Hulhanoer is also a great place of Chinese language.Dingshoujie Fu Erdan said: "Who is to blame for violating the generals and trapping the division?" Fu Erdan remained silent, and Dingshou said: "I have spoken first, how dare you say goodbye to death?" As soon as the army moved, the enemy was approaching, and Dingshou's troops attacked vigorously. They were invincible and took advantage of the victory to enter the enemy's formation. The wind suddenly rose, rain and hail came, and the division was defeated. The enemy surrounded Dingshou heavily, Dingshou hit shotgun , but he still fought hard and the stalemate lasted all night. The enemy wanted to kill him, so he drew his sword and killed himself. He died in the formation. ——"Manuscript of the History of the Qing Dynasty"
Dingshou's death was also very "unjust". He followed the general Fu Erdan in the Yongzheng Dynasty and made arrogant plans In the battle at Alabutan, Fu Erdan failed to take his correct advice and advanced blindly, causing the Qing army to be surrounded by the Junggar army. When the Qing army broke through, Dingshou was shot and chose to commit suicide in order not to be captured alive by the Junggar army.
You must know that Dingshou is the direct nephew of Emperor Kangxi and Empress Xiao Chengren.
And this was not the only male member of the Hesheli family who died in battle. Decades later, Dingshou's grandson, Hesheli Zalafeng'a, the great-nephew of Emperor Kangxi's Empress Xiaochengren, also died on the battlefield in Myanmar in the thirty-second year of Emperor Qianlong's reign, following Empress Yuan of Emperor Qianlong's - Empress Xiaoxian's pure empress 's nephew Mingrui.
The commander of the army guarding the Zhengbai flag left Mingrui and was awarded the title of leading minister. Secondly, the barbarian knot was formed, the thieves were defeated in battle, and the capital was unified. The thieves surrounded Xiao Mengyu and he was shot to death. He was given the posthumous title of Zhaojie and was promoted to a first-class male. ——"Manuscript of Qing History"
Compared with the family of Empress Yuan of Emperor Kangxi, the family of Empress Yuan of Emperor Qianlong, Empress Xiaoxian Chun, was even worse. Although Emperor Qianlong kept saying that Empress Xiaoxian Chun was the love of his life, Empress Xiaoxian Chun's brothers, nephews, and grandnephews all died in battle for the Jiangshan Sheji of the Aixinjueluo family.

Fucha Fu Qing is the brother of Empress Xiaoxian Chun and the second son of the family. He served as an official with military merit. In the fifteenth year of Qianlong's reign, he was sent to Tibet by Emperor Qianlong as the governor to investigate. Julmut Namzal (the king of Tibet at that time), it turned out that Julmut Namzal was preparing to collude with Junggar to fight against the Qing Dynasty. Fucha Fuqing finally decided that instead of waiting until Julmut Namzal was officially killed for rebelling against the Qing Dynasty, it was better to kill Julmut Namzal first. Although they were all dead, at least their deaths were valuable.
In the end, Zhuermot Namuzal was killed by Fucha Fuqing through a trick. Fucha Fuqing was also besieged by Zhuermot Namzal's men, and finally he chose to commit suicide.
Fu Qingzhong suffered three injuries, which inevitably led to his death. Rabdon died downstairs. Chief Cetar and general Huang Yuanlong both committed suicide. Tongjuan Changming was killed by a stone. ——"Manuscript of Qing History"
In addition to Fucha Fu Qing, Fucha Mingrui also died on the battlefield in the Qianlong Dynasty.
Fucha Mingrui is the legitimate son of Fucha Fuwen, the eldest brother of Empress Xiaoxian Chun. Even if he does nothing, he can inherit the Duke of Chengen inherited from his father.
But Emperor Qianlong did not allow Mingrui to "do nothing" like this, so starting from the 21st year of Qianlong, Emperor Qianlong "cultivated" Mingrui in his own way. Emperor Qianlong's method of "cultivating" Mingrui was to let Mingrui experience various wars in the Qianlong Dynasty. As a result, in the 33rd year of Qianlong, Mingrui was surrounded by the Burmese army in Myanmar. He decided to lead his elite soldiers to the rear, and eventually died in Myanmar. Also killed in the battle was the great-nephew of Emperor Kangxi and Empress Xiao Chengren.

The pattern on the emperor's dragon robe
And Mingrui's son Huilun, the son of patriarchal , also died in a battle in the second year of Jiaqing. At that time, he had already As a hereditary first-class Chengjia Yiyong Gong, even Emperor Jiaqing stated in the edict that it was rare for two generations like Mingrui and his son to die in battle in succession:
Huilun crossed the stream to pursue, and saw a thief holding a flag and commanding him. Renzong was in mourning and ordered Huilun and his son to serve on the battlefield. It was really pitiable. He agreed to give 3,000 taels of internal funds to pay for the funeral. He used his son Bo Qitu to attack the Duke and walk as a guard in front of the emperor.——"Manuscript of Qing History"
However, in addition to Fu Qing, Mingrui and Huilun, other men of the Fucha family such as Fu Heng, Fukang'an and Mingrui's younger brother Kuilin also died of illness in the military.
In fact, not only the Empress Yuan of Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong, but also Empress Yuan of Emperor Jiaqing Empress Xiao Shurui Chonglun, the nephew of the Xitala clan, also died in the war. Because of his poor performance in quelling the Taiping Rebellion, Emperor Wenzong of the Qing Dynasty Xianfeng issued an edict to reprimand him. He himself estimated that he might not escape death, so he chose to commit suicide by taking poison.
was angry and dismissed from his position. In June, Wuchang fell, and Chonglun left the first day, heading for Shaanxi. And Zeng Guofan discussed impeachment and ordered him to be arrested and punished. He committed suicide by taking poison and died of illness. ——"Manuscript of the History of the Qing Dynasty"
Although Chonglun was greedy for life and afraid of death, and could not be compared with the children of the queen's mother clan mentioned above, but in any case, he died because of the unfavorable war, and in a sense he died in the army.
In short, judging from the experiences of the maternal clans of Queen Hesheli and Queen Fuca, , it can be seen that it is really difficult to be a relative of the Aisin Gioro family.
I don’t know what everyone thinks, please leave a message in the comment area.
