In the exhibition hall of the Memorial Hall of the Eighth Route Army Lanzhou Office, a national first-class revolutionary cultural relic is displayed. It was the business card used by Xie Juezai (alias Juezhai), representative of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China at the Eighth Route Army Office in Gansu, to introduce progressive young man Wang Oucun to Shaanxi. It was written on April 21, 1943. This business card is a powerful testimony that the Eighth Route Army Office in Gansu sent progressive young people to Yan'an to participate in the revolution.

The three characters "Xie Juezhai" are printed on the front of the business card, and in the blank space are Xie Juezai's own handwriting: "Good morning, Mr. Lin Boqu, No. 11 Qixianzhuang, Xi'an 18th Group Army Shaanxi Office." The handwriting on the back of the business card reads: "Wangou Village (Village) Qin'an people graduated from middle school and are willing to go to the Shaanxi Province or the Anti-Japanese University for training. Special introduction. Please refer me to April 21st."

The story behind this business card begins with the establishment of the Eighth Route Army Office in Gansu. On May 9, 1937, taking advantage of the favorable situation after the "Xi'an Incident", Zhang Wenbin and Peng Jialun, a group of seven people, came to Lanzhou to prepare for the establishment of the "Red Army Liaison Office", known to the outside world as "Peng Mansion". On July 29, Xie Juezai arrived in Lanzhou as a representative of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. On August 25, the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army was officially reorganized into the Eighth Route Army of the National Revolutionary Army, and the "Lanzhou Red Army Liaison Office" was also changed to the "Eighth Route Army Garrison Office in Gansu" on that day.

After the establishment of the Eighth Route Army Office in Gansu, all staff united and fought together to overcome various difficulties and hardships. Focusing on the central task of "mobilizing all forces to strive for victory in the Anti-Japanese War" proposed by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, they conscientiously implemented the various policies of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. In accordance with the policy, we actively carried out the work of the Anti-Japanese National United Front; rescued a group of captured and separated West Route Army personnel; warmly received passing personnel, timely transferred anti-war materials, and did fruitful work to win the victory of the Anti-Japanese War.

During this period, Xie Juezai, representative of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, led all personnel to use various opportunities to carry out publicity and education work among the masses, especially the youth. In local newspapers and periodicals, they published a large number of current and current articles on the situation of the Anti-Japanese War and the erroneous policies of the Kuomintang . They played a great role in publicizing and mobilizing the masses to actively participate in anti-Japanese activities and exposing the ugly faces of criticizing the Kuomintang authorities.

According to statistics, the Eighth Route Army Garrison Office in Gansu has sent five batches of more than 300 people to study at Yan'an Anti-Japanese University and Northern Shaanxi Public School. A large number of progressive young people such as Yang Jingren, Qiao Yinghuai, and Wang Oucun embarked on the road to Yan'an from here. Wang Oucun is the secretary of General Ji Hongchang, a famous anti-Japanese general and member of the Communist Party. He had progressive ideas and was highly valued and trusted by the general. He was appointed as the major director of the 30th Division's Munitions Department.

On November 9, 1934, Ji Hongchang was unfortunately arrested by Kuomintang agents. When the enemy ransacked his home, they discovered the manuscript Wang Oucun had drafted for the general, and he was immediately included in the wanted blacklist. After that, Wang Oucun moved to Zhangjiakou, where he actively participated in rescuing the wounded, and later returned home to recuperate due to illness. While recuperating, he still devoted himself to the anti-Japanese work and tried every means to contact the anti-Japanese forces from all sides.

After that, Wang Oucun came to Lanzhou and got in touch with the Eighth Route Army Office in Gansu. Xie Juezai personally wrote the business card introducing him to Yan'an. Wang Oucun took this business card and rushed to Xi'an to find Lin Boqu. Lin Boqu was out of town and could not be contacted for a while. At this time, Wang Oucun's condition deteriorated rapidly, so he returned to his hometown to recuperate, and died of illness in November 1943.

Today, this business card, which carries the ideals and pursuits of the Chinese Communists, is displayed in the exhibition hall of the Memorial Hall of the Eighth Route Army Lanzhou Office, receiving the attention and admiration of tourists. It quietly tells: In that era of longing for light and revolution, progressive young people, under the guidance of the Eighth Route Army Office in Gansu, marched toward the revolutionary holy land in their hearts for national liberation and the revitalization of their country...
