Recalling Peng Dehuai, Huang Gonglue's daughter Huang Suixin said affectionately:

"Although I have no father, I have many fathers, such as Uncle Peng."

As Peng Dehuai was Huang Gonglue's comrade in life and death, they were not a family, but they were better than one.

After the death of Huang Gonglue, Peng Dehuai took care of and educated Huang Suixin for decades.

Even when Huang Suixin was in confinement, this general who fought on the battlefield was busy, personally serving and caring for her, just like an old mother.

and Huang Gonglue share life and death

Peng Dehuai and Huang Gonglue, one was born in a scholar's family and looks like a scholar, and the other was born in a poor farmer's family and looks rich and thick. Two people like

would not have much intersection. However, the common pursuit of ideals tightly connects them.

In 1918, Huang Gonglue, who served as a Chinese language teacher in the temporary training team of the Third Brigade and Sixth Regiment of the Second Division of the Hunan Army, was suddenly attracted by two compositions by Peng Dehuai.

One of the articles titled "Cherish Time" reads:

Dayu The sage cherished every inch of yin, Tao Kan The sage especially cherished the division of yin, Kuang our army If people want to shoulder important responsibilities for their country, wouldn't they be reluctant...

Another article titled "On Determination" writes:

If we don't have aspirations, we can't accomplish anything. The country will perish, the family will perish, and the species will follow. If you look over your shoulder and see nothing, you will be in the company of animals.

Recalling Peng Dehuai, Huang Suixin, the daughter of martyr Huang Gonglue, said affectionately:

Huang Gonglue

After reading it, Huang Gonglue was shocked and impressed by Peng Dehuai's profound insights and lofty ambitions.

Huang Gonglue not only gave full marks to Peng Dehuai's two essays, but also recommended Peng Dehuai to the group leader and others.

Since then, Peng Dehuai has been continuously promoted, and his position has always been above Huang Gonglue. But this does not prevent them from becoming close friends, often discussing state affairs together and encouraging each other.

Later, Huang Gonglue wrote to Peng Dehuai, inviting him to take the Hunan Army Lecture Hall with him.

After graduation, Huang Gonglue became seriously ill and was sent to Changsha for medical treatment. After Peng Dehuai learned that Huang Gonglue was seriously ill, he immediately rushed to the hospital to visit him. He also hired another famous doctor to treat Huang Gonglue and paid for the medical expenses. He took great care of Huang Gonglue like a brother.

Later, Huang Gonglue was admitted to the advanced class of Huangpu Military Academy, and the two waved goodbye.

Not long after, the two of them joined the Communist Party of China. Since the development of the party was carried out in secret at that time, there was no exchange of information between them. This also led to Peng Dehuai almost accidentally killing Huang Gonglue.

At the end of 1927, the domestic political situation underwent tremendous changes. Chiang Kai-shek and Wang Jingwei successively launched counter-revolutionary coups.

Recalling Peng Dehuai, Huang Suixin, the daughter of martyr Huang Gonglue, said affectionately:

Huangpu Military Academy Former Site Memorial Hall

In the winter of this year, the First Division of the Eighth Army of the National Revolutionary Army was reorganized into the Hunan Independent Fifth Division. In order to expand its strength, the division commander planned to set up a battalion school with about 500 people to train company and platoon-level cadres.

Peng Dehuai quickly recommended Huang Gonglue to the teacher.

In February 1928, Huang Gonglue graduated from Huangpu Military Academy and came to Nan County, Hunan Province to serve as the vice principal of Suiying School.

Peng Dehuai enthusiastically called several key members of the Poverty Alleviation Association to help Huang Gonglue clean up his dust. Since Huang Gonglue had just experienced a massacre, he had to be careful even when facing his former friends. Therefore, Huang Gong was slightly more wary.

During the dinner, Huang Gonglue was ready to test the attitude of Peng Dehuai and others towards Chiang Kai-shek.

So, when Peng Dehuai said to Huang Gonglue with great interest: "Running the Suiying School is a good opportunity for us to grasp the backbone. You have the power... Political textbooks should include content like 'Down with the New Warlords'..."

Huang Gonglue grabbed the topic and interrupted Peng Dehuai: "What is 'Down with the New Warlords'? Who does the New Warlord refer to?"

Peng Dehuai said: "Who else can be the new warlord, Chiang Kai-shek!"

Huang Gonglue said deliberately: "Is it appropriate to say that Chiang Kai-shek is the new warlord? He is our principal, and has been active since the Northern Expedition Since then, he has fought in the north and south, with great influence and high prestige..."

Recalling Peng Dehuai, Huang Suixin, the daughter of martyr Huang Gonglue, said affectionately:

Peng Dehuai

Everyone was dumbfounded when Huang Gonglue said this. Peng Dehuai said angrily:

"Gonglue, we have been friends for many years. In the past, you always said that Chiang Kai-shek was so reactionary and harmful to the revolutionary cause. How has it changed now?"

said After that, Peng Dehuai said with determination:

"Okay, you take Chiang Kai-shek's Yangguan Road, and I'll take my dangerous single-plank bridge!"

Then, the others pounced on Huang Gonglue. At the critical moment when Huang Gonglue continued to struggle and his face turned from white to blue, someone noticed that Huang Gonglue kept touching the heels of his shoes with his hands.

Later, everyone took apart the heels of Huang Gonglue's leather shoes and found that there was a letter of introduction from the Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China. The misunderstanding was resolved.

After Huang Gonglue fainted and was rescued, Peng Dehuai said to Huang Gonglue with a bit of blame and a bit of heartache: "Gonglue, what are you doing? Why are you making such a big joke?"

Huang Gong smiled slightly and replied: "If you don't give it a try, who knows whether you are a real revolutionary or a fake revolution."

After this incident, the friendship between the two became deeper and they trusted each other more and more.

However, not long after, an unexpected incident put Mr. Huang in danger again.

In July of this year, Peng Dehuai received a secret telegram:

When Huang Gonglue was stationed in Nanxian County, he issued passes to comrades of the Nanhua Special Committee to go to Changsha to buy mimeograph machines . Now the special committee agency was uncovered and the pass was found. Zhou Pan recognized it as Huang Gonglue's own handwriting and immediately ordered the arrest of Huang Gonglue and others.

Recalling Peng Dehuai, Huang Suixin, the daughter of martyr Huang Gonglue, said affectionately:

Huang Gonglue

Peng Dehuai immediately realized that this matter was not trivial. Not only did it endanger the personal safety of Huang Gonglue and others, but the party organization was also in danger of being exposed.

At the critical moment, Peng Dehuai made a decisive decision, and Teng Daiyuan discussed with Teng Daiyuan for a few days to launch an armed uprising.

Peng Dehuai's decision not only enabled his friend Huang Gonglue and others to turn a corner, but also achieved another victory in the armed uprising in the history of the Chinese revolution!

Huang Gonglue unfortunately died, and Peng Dehuai searched for his family.

After the uprising, the Red Army led by Huang Gonglue and Peng Dehuai, and the Red Fourth Army led by Chairman Mao and Zhu De, opened up the central revolutionary base area. During the

period, they went through life and death and fought side by side.

Unfortunately, Huang Gonglue was shot and died in September 1931 while commanding the troops to transfer. Peng Dehuai was deeply saddened after learning about it and could not sleep for several days...

In the following years, although he traveled to various places to fight, Peng Dehuai always remembered Huang Gonglue's old mother, wife and daughter. Chairman Mao also sent people to inquire about the whereabouts of their mother and daughter many times, but found nothing.

It was not until 1939 that there was news about Huang Suixin and her mother.

Peng Dehuai sent a letter to Huang Suixin and his son, and also sent some money to support their lives. At that time, Huang Suixin's family was in a difficult situation.

Recalling Peng Dehuai, Huang Suixin, the daughter of martyr Huang Gonglue, said affectionately:

Peng Dehuai

After Huang Gonglue's death, his mother and wife were immersed in grief. The family situation was deteriorating, and the young Huang Sui had little food and clothing.

It was also in this year that Xu Teli wanted to send Huang Suixin, mother and son to Chairman Mao, Peng Dehuai and others in Yan'an.

However, Huang Gonglue's wife Liu Yuying declined Xu Teli's invitation because she still had a mother-in-law at home who needed her to serve.

Xu Teli had no choice but to tell her to take good care of the elderly and children, and pick them up after the revolution was victorious.

In this way, Liu Yuying lived alone with her children for another 10 years. During these years, Peng Dehuai never forgot their mother and daughter for a moment.

In 1949, Hunan was peacefully liberated. Peng Dehuai, who was attending a meeting in Beijing, was worried that Bai Chongxi's troops who had retreated to Baoqing in Hengyang would kill the families of our party cadres. was even more worried that Huang Gonglue's family would encounter something unexpected on the eve of victory.

Before the meeting was over, Peng Dehuai hurriedly found his nephew Peng Qichao, who worked in the Central Guard Corps, and asked him to follow the Fourth Field Army to Hunan to find Huang Gonglue's survivors.

Peng Dehuai told Peng Qichao: "We must try to find them and bring them to Beijing as soon as possible. If we can't find them, we must also try our best to find out their whereabouts."

Recalling Peng Dehuai, Huang Suixin, the daughter of martyr Huang Gonglue, said affectionately:

Peng Dehuai

Later, Peng Dehuai said with a heavy heart:

"We have struggled for decades, and today we are finally victorious. This victory was obtained with the blood of countless martyrs. We are alive." How can people forget them? How could they forget their wills of paying a huge price for victory? If we don't do our best to find them and they fall into the hands of the enemy, the consequences will be disastrous! "

After hearing his uncle's great trust, Peng Qichao promised: "Uncle, don't worry! I will definitely complete the task! "

However, when Peng Qichao and his party came to Huang Gonglue's hometown in disguise and found Huang Gonglue's home after many inquiries, they found that the house was already empty.

Peng Qichao was extremely disappointed. Fortunately, the villagers told him that Huang Gonglue's wife and daughter were still alive, and he breathed a sigh of relief.

Because Bai Chongxi's troops were still entrenched in that area at that time, the control was very strict, and wars broke out from time to time. Peng Qichao and the others were not familiar with the place and could not find Huang Gonglue's wife and daughter at all.

As a result, Peng Qichao and others had to return to Beijing to report to Peng Dehuai.

Subsequently, the important task of finding the survivors of the martyrs was taken up by Xiao Jinguang and Wang Shoudao.

Considering that it would be difficult for them to find Huang Gonglue's wife and daughter by sending people who were unfamiliar with the place where they lived, they sought help from comrades in the underground party.

Recalling Peng Dehuai, Huang Suixin, the daughter of martyr Huang Gonglue, said affectionately:

Xiao Jinguang

With the help of underground party members who were familiar with Huang Gonglue's hometown, Huang Gonglue's wife and daughter were quickly found.

Afterwards, they drove through the night and successfully got rid of Bai Chongxi's troops. They passed the People's Liberation Army checkpoint and met Xiao Jinguang and others.

While in Changsha, Wang Shoudao asked someone to buy some clothes and daily necessities for Liu Yuying and her daughter. But Liu Yuying refused to accept anything she said. She said:

"Finding relatives is better than anything else!"

Later, they were sent to Beijing again.

On the third day after arriving in Beijing, Peng Dehuai, who was busy with work, met with Liu Yuying and her son.

As soon as he saw Huang Suixin, Peng Dehuai said kindly: "Little comrade, when you arrive in Beijing, you are at home. If you need anything, just ask your uncle!"

Peng Dehuai's words made Huang Suixin, who had lost his father since childhood, feel even more warm.

During this meeting, Peng Dehuai also gave Huang Suixin some study materials, Lenin's manual and his own photos, and bought some daily necessities for Liu Yuying.

Since then, Peng Dehuai cared about Huang Suixin and his daughter like a family member and visited them often.

Recalling Peng Dehuai, Huang Suixin, the daughter of martyr Huang Gonglue, said affectionately:

Huang Suixin and his mother Liu Yuying

In 1950, Peng Dehuai was ordered to go to North Korea to command the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. Before leaving, he specially met Huang Suixin's mother and daughter at the Beijing Hotel .

After Liu Yuying learned about Peng Dehuai's family situation, she said to Peng Dehuai: "Let Suixin be your daughter!"

Peng Dehuai said with a smile: "You only have such a daughter, how can you bear it.Let this little comrade be half of my daughter!

Before leaving, Peng Dehuai told Huang Suixin: "You are a descendant of the revolution. The party and the people sent you to school. You must study hard and don't let down the expectations of the party and the people!" "

Huang Suixin nodded in agreement.

Later, Huang Suixin graduated from university and was assigned to work in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province. Huang Suixin wanted to stay in Beijing, so he went to Peng Dehuai and asked him to come out and say hello.

Peng Dehuai firmly rejected Huang Suixin's request.

In his view, revolutionary youth should obey organizational assignments, and the descendants of revolutionary martyrs should show strict organizational discipline.

Based on this idea, Peng Dehuai had very strict requirements for his relatives

to participate in the revolutionary sacrifice. After the sacrifice, Peng Dehuai took all their children to Beijing for them to go to school.

Recalling Peng Dehuai, Huang Suixin, the daughter of martyr Huang Gonglue, said affectionately:

Peng Dehuai

In 1955, Peng Dehuai was in charge of the military rank assessment work. Peng Dehuai's nephew Peng Qichao was very depressed because of this.

Because, compared with those comrades with similar resumes to his own, his military rank was lowered by one level.

After learning that his military rank was lowered at the request of his uncle Peng Dehuai, Peng Qichao was very puzzled and asked his uncle angrily:

"You are the Minister of National Defense, why don't you act in accordance with the policy?" I am your nephew! "

Peng Dehuai said seriously: "Just because you are my nephew, I do this! Your father died without even seeing the victory. If we are still alive, why would we have any reason to get emotional over a petty gain? "

Peng Qichao was convinced and never argued with Peng Dehuai again.

In 1957, Peng Ailan was about to give birth, but her husband did not return from a business trip. She originally wanted to work for her uncle. She called her office and borrowed a car to take her to the hospital for delivery.

However, when she thought that her uncle never allowed her family to take the bus, Peng Ailan did not dare to make the call. l5 Later, Peng Ailan endured the severe pain, stopped a tricycle, and went to the Beijing Public Security Hospital alone to give birth.

A few years later, Peng Dehuai's nephew Peng Kangzhi got married, and someone suggested using a car to pick up the bride.

Recalling Peng Dehuai, Huang Suixin, the daughter of martyr Huang Gonglue, said affectionately:

Peng Dehuai

After learning about it, Peng Dehuai said to Peng Kangzhi’s mother:

“Don’t engage in such pomp and extravagance. The car belongs to the public, how can it be used for private work? We cannot take advantage of the public. Moreover, doing this is very unnecessary and will alienate you from the masses! "

Peng Dehuai has always regarded Huang Suixin as a relative, and naturally he has strict requirements for her.

However, Huang Suixin was still young at the time and could not figure out these reasons for a while, and sad tears flowed down.

In order to let Huang Suixin Suixin unconditionally obeyed the organization's assignments, and he also had to be in a happy mood. Peng Dehuai called Zhu De.

While eating, they enlightened Huang Suixin:

"How difficult it was when your father was transferred from the Fifth Red Army to southwestern Jiangxi to form the Sixth Red Army!" But he didn't ask for any price at all. He happily and unconditionally obeyed the organization's distribution and achieved a lot. Chairman Mao once praised your father, "He is a red corner on the other side of the Gan River, and he relies on Huang Gonglue." If you don't obey the assignment, he will be uneasy under Jiuquan! "

After hearing this, Huang Suixin finally figured it out. She stood up from the stool excitedly and said, "Uncle Peng, Uncle Zhu, please stop talking. I will report to Shijiazhuang tomorrow.

Recalling Peng Dehuai, Huang Suixin, the daughter of martyr Huang Gonglue, said affectionately:

Zhu De

From the 1950s to the early 1960s, Huang Suixin and his mother lived on the pensions issued by the Central Organization Department of .

Later, in order to reduce the burden on the country, Peng Dehuai directly used part of his salary to help Huang Suixin and his son.

For Huang Suixin's care, Peng Dehuai was like a considerate father, meticulous.

When Huang Suixin gave birth to his second child, Peng Dehuai directly drove Huang Suixin to Wujia Garden for confinement. During the period of

, he was busy and spent a lot of effort. It is hard to imagine that a famous marshal would do so many things for the daughter of his comrade that some biological fathers would not do. This also better reflects Peng Dehuai's friendship for Huang Gonglue and Huang Suixin, as well as his noble character.

And Huang Suixin also knew how to repay his kindness and regarded Peng Dehuai as his father. After Peng Dehuai fell into trouble, she never left him. Regardless of the advice of people around him, she insisted on visiting Peng Dehuai.

After Peng Dehuai passed away, Huang Suixin has been missing him. Whenever he thinks of Peng Dehuai’s care for her and her mother in the past, Huang Suixin is filled with tears of excitement...
