In the past three years, researchers first screened out eight possible groups of Cao Cao's descendants through historical records and family tree information, and conducted DNA collection and analysis on them .
Although these people are distributed throughout the country, the distribution frequency of O-M268 type in their Y chromosome is as high as 75%, while among other people in my country, the distribution frequency of O-M268 is only 5%. This shows that these people do have common ancestors and have high credibility in the records of family trees.
In addition, researchers also measured that the total ancestral period of these people was 1,800 to 2,000 years ago, which coincided with the era when Cao Cao lived. basically proves that these people are descendants of Cao Cao.
This inversely reiterates that Cao Cao's Y chromosome type should also be O-M268.
(To explain here: the Y chromosome of human beings can only be passed on to the son by the father, so it is considered an effective method for ancestral origin identification.)
