Jurchens and Mongolians belong to the so-called Tungus tribe. The three words Tungus are translated from Western books. In fact, the origin of this noun is the word " Donghu " in ancient Chinese books. In Han Dynasty , the north Hun was called "Hu", another type of Hu people who moved east of the Huns were called "Donghu".
Donghu is divided into two branches. The Jurchens belong to the Eastern branch, while the Mongols belong to the Western branch. The bloodlines of the two branches are very similar, and the languages are similar, just like French to Italian .

Jin Dynasty The ancestor of the emperor was the Jurchen; the ancestor of the Qing Dynasty emperor was also the Jurchen.
When the Jin Dynasty was destroyed by Yuan Dynasty , there were still many Jurchens in the Songhua River basin and Heilongjiang basin.
