In the early days of the founding of New China, there was an ordinary fitter at Beijing Yongding Machinery Factory. He later achieved very high results and was promoted to the vice-national level. This person was Ni Zhifu.
Ni Zhifu is the first person among the leaders of the New China to own the invention patent . In 1953, Ni Zhifu was still a grassroots worker at that time. He created the three-point seven-blade twist drill . This thing greatly improved the performance and cutting life of the drill bit, and was called "Ni Zhifu drill bit".
Ni Zhifu's achievements were not only invented a certain patent, but after entering politics, he developed very well. He served as the secretary of the municipal party committee of three municipalities directly under the Central Government, and later he even reached the vice-national level. It is worth mentioning that during Premier Zhou's hospitalization, Ni Zhifu made two chairs for him.
Entering the political arena from an ordinary worker
Ni Zhifu is from Shanghai. He was born in 1933. Because of his poor family, he went out to work after studying for a few years. At the age of 12, he started working in an oil company in Shanghai. He earned very little money and eating a full meal became a problem.
After the founding of New China, the country took great care of the workers and peasants' soldiers, especially workers like Ni Zhifu who have work experience and skills have become the target of training.
Ni Zhifu successively trained in cultural classes and mechanical manufacturing training classes. He achieved success in his studies two years later. After graduation, he was assigned to Beijing state-owned 618 factory in 1953 to work as an ordinary fitter.
Ni Zhifu has strong manual skills and is good at thinking. At that time, the drill bit in the factory had a short service life and was often broken, which caused a lot of losses to the factory. Ni Zhifu studied hard in the first year of entering the factory and created the three-point seven-blade twist drill, which greatly improved the service life and performance of the drill bit.
Three-pointed seven-blade twist drills have also caused a great sensation in the cutting industry abroad. Since then, Ni Zhifu has become an advanced element and has been sent to school for further studies. After graduation, he served as chief engineer in the factory.
After the special period began, Ni Zhifu was not sure what mass organization Beijing was building. After the establishment of the Beijing Municipal Revolutionary Committee, he entered the political arena as a worker representative and bid farewell to his worker career.
1969 After the end of the "99 ", Ni Zhifu joined the Central Committee and became a senior cadre of the country. For many years since then, Ni Zhifu served as secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee, the second secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Party Committee, and the secretary of the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee. Beijing, Shanghai and Tianjin are municipalities directly under the central government, that is to say, Ni Zhifu served as secretary of three municipalities directly under the central government.
From an ordinary worker to a main leader of a municipality, Ni Zhifu's development was very good, which is also related to his efforts and the background of the times. If Ni Zhifu had not invented the three-pointed seven-blade twist drill, he would probably not have become a representative of the workers, so ordinary people need to have certain abilities.
Make a chair for Premier Zhou, who is seriously ill,
Many people may not know that Ni Zhifu made two chairs for Premier Zhou, which was a past story he talked about when he was interviewed by media reporters.
In the autumn of 1975, the main person in charge of the Ministry of Health found Ni Zhifu and said to him: The Prime Minister asked me to come to you. He wants to see you if he has something to do, and I don’t know what happened.
Ni Zhifu was also very nervous at that time, not knowing what Premier Zhou had to do with him. Soon, after receiving the news, Ni Zhifu immediately rushed to the 305 Hospital in Beijing, where Premier Zhou was hospitalized.
Walking into the ward, Ni Zhifu saw Premier Zhou sitting on an old cloth sofa chair. There was a bottle under the right side of the chair, connected to the tube on his body, and there was half a bottle of blood inside. Seeing Premier Zhou feel so uncomfortable, Ni Zhifu was also very sad, and he didn't know what to say for a moment.
When I saw Ni Zhifu, Premier Zhou greeted him warmly and said kindly: Comrade Ni Zhifu, I can only sit on this chair all day long, which is very uncomfortable. I would like to ask you to design a chair for me, like an airplane seat, the backrest can be placed so that I can lie down.
After saying that, Premier Zhou pointed to the rattan chair beside him and said to Ni Zhifu: This was brought to me by Chairman Mao from Hunan. You can follow this model, but the backrest is a little shorter. If you can do it, it is best to be slightly taller than this.
Ni Zhifu thought for a while and said: Premier, I will design a fully automatic one for you, just press the button. Premier Zhou shook his head and said that he should not waste this money, just design a hand-cranked one.
That day, Ni Zhifu left Premier Zhou's ward and cried sadly. He did not expect that the Prime Minister who worked hard for the country would be so seriously ill, and tears could not be stopped.
Ni Zhifu designed a chair for Premier Zhou overnight. He took the night to drive out the drawings. The next day, he rushed to the timber factory in Beijing and asked for the assistance of a good technical engineer. A special chair was made in a few days.
This chair has a special function, which is to lie down when you shake the left side and lift the feet when you shake the right side, which meets Premier Zhou's requirements. After the chair was sent to Premier Zhou's ward, the Prime Minister tried it and was very satisfied. He said to Ni Zhifu happily: Very good, very good. If it could be wider, I didn't want to get down and just slept on it.
Premier Zhou's words were kept in mind, and he soon made a wider chair for the Prime Minister. Premier Zhou thanked Ni Zhifu very much and said with a smile: Thank you for helping me make two chairs, but I should pay the money myself.
Conclusion
After the reform and opening up , Ni Zhifu developed very well. He was elected as Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Seventh National People's Congress and became a vice-state-level cadre. After retirement, Ni Zhifu was very low-key and always paid attention to the development and construction of the country as an ordinary person.
From an ordinary worker to a vice-state-level cadre, Ni Zhifu's experience is legendary. He is the few of the leaders of the New China who have patent inventions. In December 2001, "Ni Zhifu Drill" won a national patent. He has written books in professional fields such as "Ni Zhifu Drill" and "Practice and Understanding of Group Diamonds". On April 24, 2013, Ni Zhifu died of illness in Beijing at the age of 80.
