Historical books say that he is blue, ugly, and has no talent. However, such a person was captured by Dezong as prime minister and became the most confidant of the 35 prime ministers in the 26 years of Dezong's reign, no doubt.
Even though Lu Qi later forced the rebellion of Li Huaiguang and caused a huge spoil. He was demoted under the impeachment of his ministers, Dezong still missed him.
Five years after Dezong ascended the throne, he talked with the legendary figure Li Mi about his views on several prime ministers. But who knew that the situation was just a little bit better, so Dezong turned against him and favored him on Pei Yanling recommended by Lu Qi. This person is even more troublesome than Lu Qi, and he will implement it immediately as soon as Dezong has an idea. Dezong was so happy in front of him. Later, Pei Yanling died of illness and the whole country was celebrating, and only Dezong was inexplicably sad.
In fact, if you look at historical books, no matter which dynasty is in, treacherous ministers can often make a fortune. For example, the familiar Yan Song , Heshen , etc. Why does this happen?
All treacherous officials have the following common characteristics.
1. Always think about people but never think about things . That is, treat the emperor as a person. Since you are the same person, there will always be people's desires and needs. As long as you grasp the emperor's preferences and try your best to satisfy them, you will be fine. As for external things like the world, work, people's livelihood, etc., just be able to live a big picture, and do it seriously! And these are precisely the shortcomings of those wise generals and good ministers. They have to worry too much and have no time to consider the emperor's private life. At the same time, in their eyes, the emperor should be a model of morality and a son of heaven. What they should do is to be respectful rather than be close. This determines that the emperor’s relationship with his treacherous ministers is relatives, and at most he is colleagues with them, and the difference in closeness and distance is born from this.
2. The evil people destroy others and harm others. If the treacherous minister just wants to get along with the emperor, it doesn’t matter. The key is that they always ruin people tirelessly. Lu Qi died in Yin Yan Zhenqing , Pei Yanling framed Lu Zhi, and Qin Hui killed Yue Fei . There are countless examples of this. Striking off dissidents is a superficial phenomenon, and inner panic is the root cause. They naturally knew that what they did was incompatible with public order and good customs and legal morality. They wanted everyone in the world to be as dark as them, so when they saw people of character, they hated them from the bottom of their hearts. Why? This made them compare their shamelessness.
3. Be lustful to make a name for money. What to do as a treacherous minister? Of course, you have to gain something, otherwise who will be servile and be a slave with a shame. Therefore, treacherous officials are definitely corrupt officials, who are making great profits under the banner of doing things for the emperor and the public. They are definitely people of fame and fortune, seeking fame and reputation to paint themselves. Whoever blocks his way is his enemy, just for his own selfishness, and no matter how much the world is in danger.
So, are there still treacherous officials now? The answer is of course yes. However, with the development of the times and the sound and transparent regulatory system, treacherous ministers no longer dare to be as arrogant as the feudal dynasty, but instead hide among all living beings, dressed up as a hypocritical person, and secretly doing traitorous things.
In fact, the so-called traitor of is all about one private matter. If you have selfish intentions, you will naturally have bad intentions! To eliminate selfishness, we rely on systems and mechanisms, and more importantly, on the guidance of conscience.
