Pan Yuliang passed the Shanghai Art College in one fell swoop and became one of the earliest female students in China to learn painting.
At that time, the principal of Shanghai Art College Liu Haisu was vigorously promoting Western painting methods. In order to draw the R style well, Pan Yuliang painted himself in front of the mirror. However, her professionalism and boldness were excluded by her classmates, and her experience in Yichunyuan also made Pan Yuliang often suffer from rumors.
In order to concentrate on creation, with the help of Chen Duxiu, Pan Yuliang went to , the Sino-French University of Lyon, France for further studies. Pan Yuliang's painting level was unprecedentedly improved, and his painting won the gold medal at the Italian International Art Exhibition.
1928, Pan Yuliang returned to Shanghai for full-time teaching with his heart as a member of the country. In 1937, a love letter from Pan Zanhua to Pan Yuliang made people cry: "The old woman in sixteen years is like a girl, rubbing the ancient sculptures of monsters. Her gentleness and kindness are still as good as yesterday, and her literary talent has not diminished before." It can be seen that in Pan Zanhua's eyes, 62-year-old Pan Yuliang is like a girl who was once.
In 1959, Pan Zanhua passed away. Pan Yuliang's only relative in the world was no longer there, and she also gave up returning to China. Although he is in Paris, he has been stubbornly stubbornly in his country.
1977, before Pan Yuliang died, she asked her friend to take my self-portrait back and act like I have returned to China. The most important thing is that she must bring all her paintings from many years back to China.
After years of negotiations, in 1983, more than 3,000 art works preserved in the Paris Museum in France were transported back to China and collected in the Anhui Museum.
