At that time, the three of us were riding a soft sleeper from Russia to Pyongyang, North Korea. August was the hot summer day, and the weather was very stuffy. Due to the long-term railway era from Russia to North Korea, many equipment on the train had long been old, and the air conditioners were sometimes disabled. We were stuffy in the small carriage and sweating profusely. There were also a few Russians and Koreans in the same carriage as us. They were also as hot as us.
When I was on the train to go to the bathroom, I accidentally found that the train door was open. The wind was very strong there, and it felt very comfortable when I was blowing on my body. I quickly called Lao Luo and Lao Sun here to cool off here. At this time, the conductor saw the three of us sitting at the train door and came over to ask us in simple English where the three of us were. When he learned that we were Chinese, he shook hands with us one by one, and then told us to be careful. After all, the train door was not very safe, so he left.
Other foreigners also came over when they saw the three of us enjoying cool clothes at the train door, but they were called back to the carriage by the conductor and they were not allowed to come here to enjoy cool clothes. I was quite puzzled at the time, but I was also particularly moved. Why are the Chinese allowed to enjoy cool clothes here but other foreigners are not allowed? North Koreans are too friendly to Chinese people! It seems that they do not treat us as outsiders at all, but as friends and brothers. ②, North Korean train conductor invited us to have a meal with them.
Before we got on the train, all Russian dining trucks had already been withdrawn on the train, and the food behind could only be eaten by what we brought. We also bought instant noodles and various snacks before getting on the train. When the train entered the platform in North Korea, everyone got off the train to rest. At this time, the previous train conductor came to us again. He knew that the three of us had not eaten, so he came here to invite us to have a meal with them. Seeing their sincerity, I We couldn't refuse and could only agree. It turned out that the conductors had their own habit of bringing their own food, and even had all the pots and pans. The authentic kimchi and various sauces in North Korea were really satisfying. In order to show their friendship, we distributed most of our domestic instant noodles and snacks to them. This was the first time I had a meal with the North Koreans in my life, and it was probably the last time. ③ After getting off the train, our laptop and some information were temporarily detained by the customs, and finally the staff took us to the hotel in a special car.
In North Korea, security and confidentiality measures are still in place. The reason why customs staff temporarily suspended the seizure of my laptop and some information was to investigate whether there were any secret information from their country. We can understand that they are not only targeting Chinese people, but all foreigners are the same.
They took our laptops and some information in the morning, and took them back in the afternoon and returned them to us. A North Korean, who should be an officer, drove a car. He also spoke English and asked us to get in. At this time, we were very scared and thought to ourselves, they would not find anything on their laptops to detain us! We didn't dare to say anything and got into the car directly. He took us to the door of a relatively luxurious hotel, and then said to us, "We have food and accommodation here, so you can get off here!" Hearing him say this, our tense hearts finally relaxed. After getting off the car, when we were about to pay him the fare, he waved to us and drove away. It turned out that he wanted to give us a ride for free. It seems that North Koreans are really not very good to Chinese people! I think they regard the Chinese as more close than their own brothers.
