Xie Guomin, whose ancestral home is Chenghai, Guangdong, was born in a family that has been farming for generations. My grandfather Xie Xisheng once went to various parts of Southeast Asia, but he was displaced and had nothing to eat in the rain and wind. Finally, he returned to Chenghai to farm. His father Xie Yi was born in the 22nd year of the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty (1896). When he was in his hometown, he was famous for growing straw mushrooms and was known as the "straw mushroom man".
1921, Xie Yichu saw others running a weaving factory to make money, so he also found friends to work with him and opened a workshop-style weaving factory in the countryside. Unexpectedly, the following year encountered the "August 2" storm, and his first investment was instantly swept away by the strong wind and waves. His short-term "industrial dream" also turned into bubbles like a wave hitting a reef.

Xie Yichu, who had just tasted the taste of failure, woke up and still had to be down-to-earth and return to the familiar planting industry. At the end of 1922, he went to Siam to make a living by bringing signs, advertisements, books, and a batch of seeds. With the help of a lot of relatives and friends, a seed shop was opened at the entrance of Qiongnan Litanlang Lane on Songyue Road, Bangkok, which operates rapeseed and feed. When he hung up the signboard of "Zhengdazhuang" brought from his hometown, he firmly believed that in Siam, an agricultural country, there must be a business related to agriculture and the prospects must be bright.
The position of manager of Zhengdazhuang is led by the clan uncle Xie Qinglin, who manages daily affairs, and his younger brother Xie Shaofei is responsible for finance. Xie Yichu himself devoted himself to the market development. He must cultivate fields, cultivated the fields in the cold and summer, and carefully cultivated good seeds. He worked hard for five years. During this period, he tried to grow watermelons, but when it was rainy in Siam, the harvest was extremely poor, so he lost all his money. But he did not give up, and went to the various prefectures of Beiliu, Pao Pang Po, Buddha, Ratchaburi , and Phetchaburi to investigate the actual sales of rapeseed and understand the actual needs of farmers for various seeds. After walking through iron shoes, he was sleeping day and night without any slack, and finally brought Zhengdazhuang's business to the track. Then he opened a branch "Zhengda Store" in Hat Yai. In 1941, he went to Kuala Lumpur to start business.
Unexpectedly, Pacific War broke out at this time. The sea was cut off by artillery fire, and Xie Yichu was caught off guard and was forced to stay in Singapore . If Zhengdazhuang loses the helm, its business will be almost dead. Xie Yichu spent three years and eight months in the Jidong Fishing Village in Singapore, making a living by fishing. He did not return to Thailand until the end of the war. At this time, Zhengdazhuang was dying, and all the funds were only more than 100 warehouses of white rice.

He shouted the slogan of "regrouping" without discouragement, raising more than 20,000 yuan to invest in the duck feather export market. Duck feather is a raw material for down and has made great profits. Zhengdazhuang is like a long-lasting seedling of seedlings that regain its vitality. In 1948, Xie Yichu handed over Zhengdazhuang to Xie Shaofei for management, returned to Shantou, re-engaged his familiar seed industry, and founded a large-scale seed selection farm as the seed base of Zhengdazhuang.

Xie Yichu founded "Everbright Village" in Shantou City, and continued to export the excellent varieties produced on the farm and the good varieties purchased from Chaoshan to Bangkok , and then exported them to all parts of the world. In his farm in Shantou, he has improved many varieties of vegetables, fruits, poultry and livestock, and cultivated many excellent varieties at home and abroad, including lion head cauliflower , white sand evening radish and chicken heart radish, mustard mustard , etc., which are all well-known vegetable varieties he cultivated.
In 1953, Zhengdazhuang, which recovered from the war, was reorganized into Zhengda Group , officially bid farewell to the traditional store-style operation and transformed into a modern trading company , which still mainly deals with rapeseed and agricultural and animal husbandry products. In 1966, Xie Yichu, who was in his 70s, left Shantou and settled in Hong Kong. Soon after, he moved to Singapore from Hong Kong. When there were any problems in the company's business, he would also go abroad to consult him. The old man’s sword is not old, so he often plans within the tent and wins thousands of miles away.
In 1966, Charoen Pokphand Group sent Xie Damin to Hong Kong to establish Charoen Pokphand Trade Export Company, which was the first step for Charoen Pokphand Group to internationalize. In 1968, Charoen Pokphand Group and Japan Paint Company jointly established factories in Thailand and Malaysia; Xie Yichu sent three sons Xie Zhongmin to Indonesia to establish a feed company and a fishery company, the latter providing the former with the raw material for producing feed - fish meal.
A promising multinational company has a brief appearance under the careful training of Xie Yichu. Xie Yichu knew that the time for handover was coming, and the company needed to go up again, and to inject new vitality, and to be younger and more courageous leaders, and to lead the whole line. In 1968, he decided to hand over the leadership of the Charoenix Group to his fourth son Xie Guomin. For Xie Guomin, who is only 29 years old, this is not only ambition but also a responsibility for human ethics. He solemnly took over the chairman's seal from his father.
After Xie Yi first exchanged seals, he did not stay at home, but continued to run farms in Singapore and other places, committed to cultivating seedless grapes and dedicated the breeding to the motherland. Once, Xie Yichu, who was 84 years old, fainted in the plantation due to excessive fatigue. When people found him, they were still holding a vine tightly in their hands.
He also actively participated in the charity and welfare cause in his hometown, and successively invested in the construction of Chenghai County Overseas Chinese Hospital, Chenghai Overseas Chinese Middle School, , Xie Yi Junior High School, etc. In 1982, Xie Yichu suffered from cerebral thrombosis in Thailand and had a very difficult speech, and he could not even say a complete sentence. When the Chinese ambassador to Thailand visited him, the old man held the ambassador's hand tightly, tears flashing, and his voice tremblingly said: "I want to go to Shantou..." Everyone present was moved and burst into tears. When Xie Yichu was dying, he still did not forget to instruct his children to donate to build a science museum at Chenghai Overseas Chinese Middle School. In order to commemorate the old man, the school named the science museum "Yichu Science Museum".
Xie Yichu once wrote "Autobiography", which evaluated his life like this:
Since he was 16 years old, he has taken on the family plan, and has been selfless and tolerant, and has returned to the public, sacrificing his own self and completing his own self as his ambition. He worked hard all his life, and has made great contributions to society and mankind.

Xie Guomin was born in 1939. When he was young, he followed his father's order and returned to Shantou to study. Later, he went to Hong Kong to study economic management and business. After graduating from university, he returned to Thailand and did not immediately join his father's Chiang Tai Group. Instead, he worked in other companies for five years, accumulating experience and preparing for training. He did not join Chiang Tai Group until 1963. Maybe it is because of family genetic inheritance, or maybe it is because of the influence of family business since childhood. Xie Guomin loved pigeon raising very much when he was a teenager. When he grew up, he became a super "pigeon fan". He has his pigeon lofts in Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong and other places. He also participated in the competition with pigeon fans of Belgium . Therefore, he is not like ordinary young people who only pursue novelty and fashion and look down on traditional industries. He has a deep understanding and special relationship with the feed industry and animal husbandry founded by his father.

After becoming the chairman of Zhengda Group, Xie Guomin fully demonstrated the style of a young man who was brave in development and quickly promoted the group's business to diversification. On the one hand, he introduced talents and technology to upgrade the traditional industries of the Zhengda Group such as feed, aquatic products, and food. On the other hand, he expanded the company's business to commercial retail, telecommunications, medicine, real estate, international trade, , logistics, finance, media, the Internet, education and industry.
1971, Charoenix Group cooperated with the largest breeding chicken company in the United States, "Aibaiyijia Breeding Chicken Company", and invested by the United States to introduce the latest modern chicken farming technology and a full set of automated chicken farming production lines. In 1974, Charoen Pokphand Group founded Charoen Pokphand International Co., Ltd. in Hong Kong. As a frontier for expanding its business to the world, Xie Yichu and Lao Shuai once personally took over and served as the chairman of the board of directors of Charoen Pokphand International Investment Co., Ltd., setting the course for the new company and holding the foothold.
What best reflects Xie Guomin's vision and courage was his amazing move to invest in China in 1979. At that time, China's "Cultural Revolution" had just ended, and the country was covered in bruises and vitality had not recovered. Many people were still confused about where to go in the future. But Xie Guomin has sensitively discovered that the opportunity of the times is at this historical crossroads of storms and darkness. He seemed to foresee a wave of reform and opening up of , , rolling from the horizontal line, and China will undergo earth-shaking changes. So he decided to invest in Shenzhen.
Charoenix Group cooperated with the mainland American cereal company to invest 10 million US dollars to establish a modern feed chicken farm in Shenzhen - Charoenix Kangdi Co., Ltd., and obtained the business license of the Shenzhen Municipal Government issued the "Shenzhen Foreign Investment Certificate No. 0001". This is the first foreign-invested company in mainland China after the reform and opening up. In 1982, a modern feed factory with an annual output of 240,000 tons was completed and put into production.
Several years later, someone asked him in surprise, why did you still like the lifeless Chinese market at that time? Xie Guomin replied with a smile: "Businesses value the most is opportunity, and they pay attention to the right time, place, and harmony of people." Looking back at history, of course, it can be said that the opportunity for China to take off in the late 1970s has indeed appeared, but how many people could see it clearly at that time? How many people can believe that a foreign "capitalist" can actually obtain "time, place, and harmony" in red China? Xie Guomin has boldly stepped in with one foot. Not only that, the "001" business licenses in Zhuhai and Shantou are also the first to receive by Charoen Pokphand Group. He often says to people around him: "I was born in Thailand, but I am a native of Shantou. My ancestral home is Chenghai. I remember the source of water and I have a special feeling for China. Investing in China is a choice of Zhengda without regrets."
Xie Guomin's other decision with great strategic vision is to make a big move into Hong Kong's retail, financial and real estate industries, and promote the listing of the company under Zhengda Group in Hong Kong. In 1981, CP Lotus (i.e. Yichu Lotus ) was listed on Hong Kong Stock Exchange . In 1987, Charoen Pokphand International Co., Ltd. was established in Bermuda and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1988. The landing of Lotus and Bufeng International on the Hong Kong stock market seemed to have suddenly narrowed the distance between China and Thailand. In 1993, Xie Guomin was hired as a Hong Kong affairs consultant. This is an advisor hired from Hong Kong by the Chinese government inquiring about Hong Kong affairs before Hong Kong returned to . Xie Guomin was hired as a Thai Chinese, which is of extraordinary significance. He used his influence to provide advice and contributed a lot to the smooth transition of Hong Kong.

Chief Group has gradually established a relationship with the Chinese economy that is closely related to the river and water. In 1988, the State Council announced the establishment of a province in Hainan, and Xie Guomin took the lead again. He signed a contract with Hainan Province that year, investing more than US$2 billion to build the Hainan Petrochemical Base. In 1990, the State Council announced the opening of the development of Shanghai Pudong New Area, and Xie Guomin seized the opportunity to invest US$2 billion in Pudong New Area .He can seize the initiative at every step. No wonder the Asian financial magazine "Asian Finance" in 1988 called Xie Guomin "the most outstanding entrepreneur in Asia."
After entering the Chinese market in 1979, Zhengda Group has successively established commercial brands such as "Zhengda Feed", "Zhengda Food", "Zhengda Seeds", "Zhengda Egg Products", "Zhengda Pharmaceuticals", " Dayang Motorcycle ", "Zhengda Ming Tea", "Zhengda Plaza", and "Yichu Lotus Supermarket", which are spread all over the country and were once at its peak in the market.
