Zhou Chengwang's excellence is also related to prenatal education
Zheng Dingwen
"Records of the Grand Historian" records: "When Chengkang is at the moment, the world is peaceful, and the punishment is not required for more than 40 years." The "Cheng" here refers to King Cheng of Zhou; the "Kang" here. Refers to Zhou Kangwang . Among them, King Cheng of Zhou was also related to prenatal education.
In the past, when talking about "prenatal education", they often only mentioned Wang Ji 's wife Tai'e . It is said that the excellence of Wenwang in Zhou was related to the prenatal education of his mother Tai'e . In fact, prenatal education may be a tradition at the beginning of the Zhou Dynasty. If you don’t believe it, please read:
yi Jiang is the daughter of Jiang Taigong , the wife of Zhou Chao founding wise king Wu Wang , and is a very outstanding queen.
Regarding Yi Jiang's identity as the "Empress of Zhou", Wang Pinzhen clearly stated in the book "Explanation of the Book of the Great Dai Li Ji": "The Empress and Concubine are King Wu Yi Jiang." There is another very famous saying in "The Analects of Confucius: Taibo":
King Wu said: "I have ten rioters." Here, what King Wu called "disciple ministers" is actually "governing ministers", that is, ministers who governed chaos. Confucius said: "Talent is difficult, isn't it true! During the Tang and Yu period, it was prosperous. There were women, only nine people. There were two of them in the world to serve the Yin and Zhou dynasties, which was already the most virtue!" Regarding the "women" in this passage, the Northern Song Dynasty , it was followed by the predecessors' statements, and believed that what they meant was Yi Jiang. It is also said that among the ten ministers of King Wu who "ruled chaos", "nine people ruled outside and Jiang ruled inside." There is also his disciple Cai Shen who also adopted the statement that when he was annotating the false "Tai Oath". In short, from the above historical materials, we can see that Yi Jiang was the chief concubine or queen of King Wu, and gave birth to Prince Song (i.e., King Cheng) and Tang Shuyu , which is unquestionable.
Yi Jiang is also a practitioner of prenatal education. According to historical records, Wang Ji's wife and Wang Wen's mother Taigui are good at prenatal education, so she cultivated Wang Wen into a saint-level great figure with both moral integrity and ability. In fact, Taigong prenatal education is constantly passed down, and Yi Jiang also inherited the virtues of Taigong, the Virgin of the Zhou royal family.
According to "The Book of the Great Dai Li·Bao Fu Chapter 48", "The concubine of Zhou appointed King Cheng in her body, standing without being rude, sitting without being rude, being alone without being arrogant, and not being angry but not being swearing, which is called prenatal education." That is to say, when Jiang Huai, the first son of King Cheng of Yi, he did not fall in a slant when standing, sitting with an upright and seriousness, not noisy when joking, not squatting anywhere when he was alone, and did not curse people casually when he had a temper. These practices are simple to say, but without great perseverance and restraint, it is difficult to implement them to the end. It can be seen that Yi Jiang's prenatal education was very successful. He made great contributions to the " Chengkang Zhizhi " and the second emperor of the 2nd Zhou Dynasty. As Yi Jiang's eldest son, his merits are also inseparable from his mother's careful cultivation.
Therefore, I guess that Zhou Chu's prenatal education may be a tradition. Wang Ji's wife Tai'er gave birth to the wise King Wen. So, as the wife of King Wen, wouldn't her mother-in-law Tai'er give her guidance? King Wen has many children. Not to mention that " Fengshen Yanyi " says that King Wen has hundreds of sons, just from the fact that he has a name, surname, fiefdom or fief, it is verified that King Wen also has sixteen sons, and King Wu and King 2 Zhou Gong are outstanding. Is it unrelated to prenatal education?
