Suanshan, this name can be traced back to at least the Song Dynasty. Baoqing's "Siming Zhi" already has the names of Zhangjiabu, Miaolin, Wujinqi, Suanshan and other places. However, at this time, he was still as a Mountain name. This is all because this small mountain ridge is mostly composed of independently distributed small hills, which look like abacus beads from a distance. In the "Dinghai County Chronicle" of Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty, the name Suanshan Village finally began to appear. It can be regarded as one of the earliest names of Beilun Xinqi village.

But if you only think that the name of Suanshan Village comes from the name of the mountain, that would be narrow-minded, because the name of the village later also influenced the name of the mountain. This is thanks to the Suanshan Qi built here during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. In response to him, the village was often called Qitou Village, and Suanshan got another new name - Qitou Mountain.

Suanshanqi, also known as "Suanshanpuqi" in ancient times, is the main drainage facility in Xinqi, Gaotang area. In the old days, there was a qifu on the qi to oversee the opening and closing of the qi. However, this first version of the Suanshan qi was rebuilt in November 1956 due to its disrepair, narrow gate, water leakage from the bottom of the qi body, and failure to store and drain water. . After completion the following year, the newly built ridge had 5 holes, each with a diameter of 2.5 meters and a bottom elevation of 0.62 meters. It was opened and closed by a screw rod. It has once again assumed the important task of transporting water from Yanshan River, Xinfengyang River, Fuchun River and Guantang River into the sea.

At that time, in order to protect the farmland from Suanshan to Gaotang, Yongfeng Pond, Jiufeng Xitang, Jiufeng Xintang, etc. were built to the east of Zhisuanshanqi. However, just like Laosuanshanqi, due to the times, For a long time, what is useless is useless and what is gone is gone.

In 1968, the construction of the 2,720-meter-long Suanshantang, which started from the crude oil terminal of Zhenhai Petrochemical Plant in the west and ended at Xitang, Xinqi in the west, was officially started, with more than 2,000 acres of reclaimed land. But in 1981, after being hit by Typhoon No. 14, the pond collapsed. The following year, it was repaired and reinforced again, and a standard pond was built. In 1991, Beilun Power Plant built a new Huiku Pond outside the pond to the east of Xiasan Mountain. In this way, the original length of the once Suanshan Pond was finally reduced to only 600 meters, and it became what is seen on the map today. Looks good.
