Yuyuan Road is deep and quiet, with characteristic residential buildings lined up, bit by bit engraved with history, and patches of greenery full of amorous feelings. Walking east along the clean street, you can see the elegant Lane 1352, one of the high-end Lifangs in the western section of Yuyuan Road, "Lian'an Square".

In May 1946, the Chinese National Liberation Action Committee, the predecessor of the Peasant-Workers Democratic Party, moved from Chongqing to Shanghai, and the central authority was located at No. 11, Lian'anfang, Lane 1352, Yuyuan Road. In February 1947, the Peasants and Workers Democratic Party held the Fourth National Cadre Conference on the 11th in Lian'an Fang, with more than 40 attendees. After the meeting, the "Declaration of the Party's Fourth National Cadre Conference" was issued. This is also the site of the Second Plenary Session of the First Session of the Chinese Democratic League.

This brick-wood structure independent garden house was built in 1926, Baroque style , with a total construction area of about 1428 square meters. There are 4 garden houses (the original house numbers are No. 10, 11, 20, and 21). There are 2 buildings on each side of the road, both facing north and south, and there is always sunshine between the houses. The two buildings have a uniform red sloping roof and regular clean water walls, which are full of a sense of wholeness and integration. The structure of the house is sturdy, simple and elegant, hidden in the lush greenery around it, "a little red among the green bushes", which is particularly conspicuous. The area of the front and rear buildings is slightly different. The front row is smaller (now Buildings No. 5 and 6), each building covers an area of 288 square meters, and the back row is slightly larger (now Building Nos. 7 and 8), each building is 396 square meters. The courtyard in front of the building is dotted with rockery stones of various shapes, and there are flower beds at the bottom of the building. Passing through the courtyard, there is a fake four-story building with clear water walls. The side door is the main entrance. The interior is wide and spacious. The floor of eucalyptus doors and windows, carved wall protection, polychrome veneer fireplace give people a sense of warmth.

With the establishment of the Shanghai Peasants and Workers Democratic Party and the municipal party department in February 1947, the famous democrat, Peasants and Workers Party and the leader of the Democratic League Zhang Bojun also moved here to live. Zhang Bojun is a highlight in the history of modern Chinese revolution. He believes that the nature of the Chinese revolution at that time was a civilian revolution with a national character. He advocated the establishment of a civilian regime focused on agriculture and labor, and restrained state capitalism.Realize "the farmer has his land" and transition to a higher stage of society. While being persecuted by the Kuomintang, the Peasant-Workers Democratic Party is still actively working with the Communist Party to scream for a way out for China. After the founding of the People’s Republic of China, Zhang Bojun took an active part in the construction of socialism... Today, everything has become a historical memory. As an excellent historical preservation building in Shanghai, Lian’an Square will always be engraved with Zhang Bojun’s glorious deeds for future generations to remember and sigh.

The buildings can be read, the blocks can be strolled, and the city has temperature. There are too many stories in the long river of years, Changning 38.3 square kilometers of land, integrated with architecture.
