2022 League of Legends Global Finals quarterfinals ended this morning. In the end, T1 swept RNG 3-0 in a nearly crushing manner and successfully advanced to the next semi-final stage. For T1, after the defeat in MSI this year's MSI game, T1's bottom lane duo seems to have suffered a heavy blow. After more than half a year of adjustment, they have now become one of the strongest bottom lane duoes in this year's World Championship.
After successfully advancing to the semi-finals, gumayusi also accepted an interview with Korean media. What will this young player You feel about his performance today and the next semi-finals?
Q: After the final of the 2020 World Championship, LCK finally successfully defeated LPL in Bo5. How do you feel about being such a person?
I am very happy to win with a score of 3-0 today, but I have to say that the Bo5 game is very physically exhausting.
Q: This is a replica of the MSI final. Did you think of this when you were playing? It's been a while since
MSI, so I think the performance levels of both teams have changed. Since then, I didn't expect to be playing against the same team, but I'm still happy because technically it was a revenge victory.
Q: You have been killed in 0 battles in most games. Are you working hard to maintain a winning streak of 0 battles?
I haven't been killed once in the first and second games, so I want to do the same in the third game as well. Unfortunately, I was killed twice, so it was a bit disappointing.
Q: Many people are commenting that T1 made thorough preparations for today's Bo5. In the first game, the blue party chose Aishi , big head combination, etc., what is the most important factor in the face of GALA-Ming?
We practiced and tested many bottom lane combinations, but none of the bottom lane combinations can keep up with our hero pool, so the diversity of the lineup is the key point in our battle today.
Q: The second game was a difficult game, and T1 achieved a miraculous reversal through the team battle of the ancient dragon. Do you feel the pressure to continue using Xia in the later stages of the game?
I led a lot through the laning period, but seeing the opposite Kasha catch up with my last shot, I was a little doubtful if I could win. However, it's not difficult for Xia to cause damage to the rest of RNG in team battles, and I have Renata, so it's not high in terms of difficulty.
Q: After you win that game, you look relieved. Do you still remember how you felt at that time?
I had this feeling in the middle of the game and thought that the game could be won, so I was very nervous and excited, and my hands were shaking. We won in the end, so all these repressed emotions were released.
Q: In the third game, you not only showed excellent movements, but you also proved that you have a very vast pool of heroes. How do you evaluate your performance?
I don't think I played Ash so well in Game 1, but I think I'm not doing well in the other two games. I gave myself 80 points [out of 100 points].
Q: T1 will face JDG in the semi-finals. This is another match between LCK and LPL. What is your determination for the semi-finals?
In some interviews, JDG kept saying that they didn't want to face us. I must prove why they are afraid of us. We will make sure we are ready to win this game and make it to the finals.
Q: Finally, please say something to the fans who have been cheering for you.
Due to the jet lag, it will be difficult for everyone to watch the game. Thank you for getting up early to watch our game and supporting us. We will continue to work hard with everyone’s support, come on!
