Team Ninja's new work "Rise of the Ronin" was officially announced. The director of this work, Fumihiko Yasuda (also the director of the "Niwang" series), mentioned in PlayStation.Blog that this work has been developed for 7 years and is the most global ambition and challenging project for Team Ninja Studio to date.
According to Bloomberg (Bloomberg), Ronin's rise is a key strategic pillar of the company's medium-term growth strategy. Ronin is expected to sell more than 5 million new IPs.
In contrast, the "Ni-Oh" series premiered in February 2017 sold more than 6 million copies in the period of two generations, and by September 2021, three copies have been sold. But "Rise of the Ronin" only has PS5 and may be launched on PC later, which may limit its sales potential.
In addition, Honor is developing "Wolong: Sky Falls", which will be available in early 2023 and may launch a demo this week.
