invests 20 billion yuan to advance the proposed project in Xinjiang. On December 17, Duan Zhiguang, deputy general manager of Henan Energy, went to Xinjiang Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone to investigate and negotiate on the Zhundong 850,000 tons/year coal-to-olefins project.

Ai Kezhong, general manager, deputy party secretary and vice chairman of Henan Energy Xinjiang Company, and Yu Qian, deputy general manager, conducted the investigation together. Personnel from Beijing Huier Sanji Green Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. and Shanghai Zhongsheng Hongqiao Enterprise Management Co., Ltd. participated in the inspection and negotiation.
Liu Chao, member of the Party Working Committee and Deputy Director of the Management Committee of the Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone, welcomed the arrival of the inspection team. He introduced the industrial layout, resource advantages, geographical location, preferential policies, etc. of the Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone.
The two parties had in-depth discussions on investment scale , project approval, procedures, energy allocation, element guarantee, new energy coupling and other aspects. Both parties stated that they will further strengthen cooperation, promote the implementation of the project as soon as possible, and promote the on-site conversion of Zhundong coal resources.

After the meeting, the Henan Energy Research Team inspected the planned site selection of the Zhundong 850,000 tons/year coal-to-olefins project.
On September 20, 2022, Henan Energy Xinjiang Company signed a contract with Xinjiang Zhundong Economic and Technological Development Zone, planning to invest 20 billion yuan to build coal gas chemical and coal-to-olefins projects, promote safe and green coal mining, clean and efficient utilization, and promote the transformation and upgrading of coal consumption. As the "energy island" of Henan Energy's Zhundong modern coal chemical base in the future, the coal-to-gas project will extend downwards along the industrial chain to produce a series of high-end new chemical materials such as coal-to-olefins and degradable plastics, achieving clean and efficient production.
