9 national urban agglomerations
my country has planned a total of 19 national urban agglomerations, but due to the influence of geographical location, economic foundation, ecological carrying capacity and policy dividend , some of these urban agglomerations have achieved rapid development, while others have developed unsatisfactory! Therefore, some urban agglomerations have become quite high in integration, while others are still standing still, with huge differences in development!
Because of this, in the latest urban development strategy plan for 2021-2035, the country has divided the national urban agglomeration into three echelons (i.e., 3 levels) according to the basic strength, regional influence, integrated development degree and strategic position at the national level. Among them, the strategic status of Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration and Middle Yangtze River urban agglomeration has been improved, entering the first echelon of urban agglomeration.

First Echelon: World-class urban agglomeration with global influence
In the country's latest urbanization development strategy, according to the development level of each urban agglomeration, the 19 urban agglomerations across the country are divided into three echelons, namely three strategic levels. The first echelon of this is the world-class urban agglomeration, mainly including the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration, the Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration, the Chengdu-Chongqing urban agglomeration and the middle reaches of the Yangtze River urban agglomeration.

Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration and Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration are located in the eastern coastal area of in my country. It is the earliest region in my country to implement reform and opening up . After decades of rapid development, it has become the most economically developed region in my country. Therefore, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration and Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration are also the most developed urban agglomeration in my country.
According to the country's latest urbanization development strategic plan, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration and the Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration have been identified as world-class urban agglomeration, located in the first echelon of my country's urban agglomeration. The country will support the creation of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration, the Yangtze River Delta urban agglomeration and the Pearl River Delta urban agglomeration into a world-class urban agglomeration that is as famous as the United States Atlantic coastal urban agglomeration and the Japanese Pacific coastal urban agglomeration.

Shandong Peninsula Urban Agglomeration
Among them, Shandong Peninsula Urban Agglomeration is at the top of the second echelon, ranking sixth in the country's urban agglomeration, second only to 5 world-class urban agglomerations. With the economic strength of Shandong Province, it is well deserved! The Guangdong-Fujian-Zhejiang coastal urban agglomeration is located in the southeast coastal region with economic development in my country. The Central Plains urban agglomeration and the Guanzhong Plain urban agglomeration bear the strategic responsibility of the rise of the central region and the development of the northwest region respectively. The Beibu Gulf urban agglomeration is the sea outlet of the western land-sea channel and also has an important strategic position!

In addition, the central cities have insufficient division of labor and coordination and radiation leadership capabilities, so the nine urban agglomerations are still in a cute state. To this end, the country will support the cultivation and development of these nine urban agglomerations, cultivate them into emerging growth poles with regional influence, and will play an important role in the coordinated development of the regional economy!
Among the nine urban agglomerations under cultivation, the transportation infrastructure of the central and southern Liaoning urban agglomeration is relatively complete and the economic foundation is relatively good. It is a pity to be included in the third echelon of the urban agglomeration, and it is also unfavorable to the revitalization and development of in the northeast region of . Therefore, the two central cities of Shenyang and Dalian should work together to jointly radiate and lead the development of the Central and Southern Liao urban agglomeration, and strive to enter the second echelon of the urban agglomeration as soon as possible.
