releases innovation vitality with "resource space"
At present, there are 30 district-level innovation and entrepreneurship carriers for Jiading . As one of the carriers for innovation and entrepreneurship, "nuclear innovation space" actively explores joint innovation models, which can not only provide entrepreneurs with a physical office environment, but also provide them with diversified "resource space" such as technology, capital, and application scenarios, so that entrepreneurs and innovators can fully release their vitality.

On November 16, 2021, the "Nuclear Creation Space" Yangtze River Delta Science and Technology Achievement Incubation Center was officially unveiled, and integrated operations were carried out with the China Nuclear Equipment Institute and the China Nuclear Corporation Eighth Institute. The establishment of an innovative collaboration mechanism integrates the "four chains" resources to create an "innovation consortium" integrating innovation chains, industrial chains, capital chains, and policy chains, and focuses on key issues of "bottlenecks" and a new strategic development track to continue to make efforts to provide new impetus for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
Huang Yushu, deputy director of the Eighth Institute of China National Nuclear Corporation and deputy general manager of the China National Nuclear Equipment Institute, admitted that in the process of transformation of scientific and technological achievements, some key bottlenecks will inevitably be encountered: "For example, will anyone pay for our scientific and technological achievements after they are developed? Where is its future market? Where is its future promotion value? This is a problem faced by many of our scientific research institutions." How to solve
? "Nuclear Creation Space" has begun an exploratory attempt - as a service agency for the achievement transformation platform, it regards industrial chain resources as key support. Let the needs and application scenarios of the industrial chain be directly connected with scientific research institutions and scientific researchers, so that they can clarify as soon as possible where the future application and value of scientific and technological achievements are, better coordinated with industries and enterprises, and accelerate the transformation and industrialization of results on the application side.

"Our 'nuclear creation space' is based on the background of China Nuclear Corporation's Eighth Institute and China Nuclear Equipment Institute itself, which can directly empower teams and projects in R&D and innovation. We can also provide support for facilities, equipment and other resources required for in-depth R&D, which is also our special advantage as an achievement transformation agency with R&D background." Huang Yushu introduced.
good projects are
Interestingly, here, makers and scientists can "sing" projects. This is like the passengers who look at each other on both sides of the Taiwan Strait find the same direction on the small boat "Nuclear Creation Space" and can go downstream, greatly reducing the cost of innovation.
"Our team currently has 4 people. It turns out that what I imagined was that for a long time, our team would run around looking for landing scenarios. But here, Nuclear Innovation Space helped me get my first order intention in just 4 months." This summer, Huang Yuan, who has not yet officially established the company, was very busy. He told reporters that after entering the "Nuclear Innovation Space", the center gave the R&D team various support. "Shortly after we settled in, the center organized us to connect with the School of Mechanical Engineering of Shanghai Jiaotong University and the Institute of Computer Vision of Shenzhen University to provide us with technical support and support. Because our products are still in the stage of research and development, iteration and improvement, the 'Nuclear Creation Space' has also connected us to the nuclear power market and found typical application scenarios for us to facilitate our products to be applied, tested, iterated and optimized on-site."

At present, Huang Yuan's R&D team has already had the first mature product - "Nuclear Power Safety Guard". Staff only need to wear deeply developed wearable devices, and work prompts will appear in front of them. If there is a tendency to operate incorrectly, the system will automatically alert. This product is mainly targeted at the pain points of people in the nuclear power industry due to mistakes, and uses new generation information technology to empower on-site operators to ensure production safety. The more dazzling "black technology" is also being developed in a step-by-step manner. In the future, Huang Yuan also plans to develop robots on this technical basis to replace relevant operators, so that the on-site operators can be liberated from complex and high-risk environments.
"Our nuclear power safety guard is the first in the industry and has exclusive intellectual property rights. It is expected that after application, our products can generate more than 1 billion yuan in revenue for the full life of an nuclear power plant, (calculated based on the 60-year service time of the unit)." Huang Yuan said.
builds a trial field for basic research
Compared with traditional co-creation spaces, "nuclear creation space" is more like a trial field before the transformation and application of basic research results, and a launching platform for dreams. Ding Zhenjie, an engineer of the Graphene Film Application Research Team of the Institute of Nuclear Eight, said in an interview that he didn’t quite understand the meaning of collaborative innovation before, and he did many things alone. He found that he had to spend a lot of effort and could only make semi-finished products, and he died before he entered the market.
Fortunately, the "nuclear innovation space" provides a stage for collaborative innovation for scientific research talents like Ding Zhenjie.

With the help of the "Nuclear Creation Space" scientific and technological achievements transformation platform, Ding Zhenjie and his team are carrying out research and development of high-performance membrane materials with Xi'an Jiaotong University , hoping to solve the problems of high energy consumption and other aspects in seawater desalination in the future.
"At present, our project is in the stage of research and development. Xi'an Jiaotong University has completed the trial production of samples in the laboratory and successfully obtained high-performance graphene film materials. In the future, we will conduct product design and pilot projects for the laboratory samples. We hope to achieve large-size graphene films prepared in batches and continuously, which will play a good reference role in our subsequent seawater desalination projects and practical applications." Ding Zhenjie said.
According to reports, "Nuclear Creation Space" is based on thousands of scientific and technological achievements accumulated and formed by China National Nuclear Corporation, many scientific research institutes and related enterprises. It uses a cooperation method of "small core and big cooperation" to connect with colleges and institutes of relevant majors at home and abroad, and builds a database for the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
"At present, we have introduced hundreds of scientific and technological achievements, and we are still expanding this library. In the future, we will connect the technical achievements and innovation capabilities of China National Nuclear Corporation and the advanced technological achievements outside the group with the industrial chain resources and innovation needs within and outside the group to promote the high-quality development of related industries ." Hu Jun, the operation director of the Yangtze River Delta Science and Technology Achievement Incubation Center, "Nuclear Creation Space", introduced.
