A thousand-mile embankment breaks in an ant's nest
Guan Gua talks about the three talents of looking up and down, observing the heaven, earth and people. It talks about a thousand-mile embankment bursting into an ant nest. Let’s analyze it based on the hexagrams.
First, the anthill of the dam. There are ant nests on the river bank. When we look at the hexagrams, the upper hexagram Xun is high and mediocre. Lines three, four, and five form a Gen hexagram . Gen is strong outside and is a dam. The lower hexagram Kun is. Lines two, three, and four also form a kun. Kun represents river water. Two kuns indicate that the river water is very large. What do you think of an anthill? It comes from Sunda hexagram and Gen hexagram. Sunda is an insect, ant, and Gen is a hole. There are ant nests in the river's embankments.
Second, the dam collapsed. The levee is in danger of collapse. When we look at the hexagrams, Gen is a dam, Sunda is broken, it is fall, it is bounce, it is corruption. The water in Chongkun is deep, Gen is the bank, Xun is the river, and the dike is destroyed. Rivers flowed unchecked, fertile fields were destroyed, and lives and property were lost.
Third, covet comfort. They covet a comfortable life and don’t know how to be vigilant in danger. When we look at the hexagrams, Kun is safe, and as far as Gen, Kun is smooth again. If you have been at ease for a long time, you will inevitably become slack. We still need to have a sense of reverence for nature, which is called being cautious and undefeated. Gen means respect, Kun means labor, and means fear, telling us to be prepared for danger in times of peace and to be diligent and alert.
Fourth, guard against the slightest change. The so-called evil is not enough to destroy the body. We look at the hexagram image, the whole hexagram painting, four Yin Yao , two Yang Yao , the power of Yin Yao is greater than that of Yang Yao, and Yang Yao is in decline. The Guan hexagram is a message hexagram, and the growth of the Yin Yao is also a cumulative process. In the beginning, one Yin is born in the Jie hexagram, two Yin is born in the Dun hexagram, is the three Yin hexagrams in the Fu hexagram, and is born in the Guan hexagram. Ant, Gen is a nest. This ant nest is a process of gradually getting bigger. When it comes to Guan Gua, it is the image of a thousand-mile embankment collapsing in the ant nest.
From the perspective of the weather, the four seasons have changed. Guan Gua has reached mid-autumn, and all things have begun to wither. From the geographical perspective, the river embankments have been destroyed by ant nests. From the perspective of human nature, people are greedy for comfort. Destruction in the anthill is inevitable.
