The eight elements symbolized in the Book of Changes and Eight Diagrams are only four of them: air, water, fire, and earth.
The eight trigrams are: Qian, Kun, Zhen, Xun, Kan, Li, Gen, and Dui.
respectively symbolize: sky, earth, thunder, wind, water, fire, mountain, and ze.
Bajing hexagrams are divided into yin and yang. The hexagrams with singular number are Yang hexagrams; those with double hexagrams are Yin hexagrams.
Qian, Zhen, Kan and Gen are composed of three paintings and five paintings as Yang Gua;
Kun, Xun, Li, and Dui are composed of six paintings and four paintings as Yin Gua .
is composed of eight hexagrams and six hexagrams, each with six lines, representing the three ways of heaven, earth, and man, revealing the right time and place, and rich and delicate wisdom.
Chinese philosophy produces two, two produces three, three produces all things. I suppose that all things are four.
My personal understanding is that one represents love and benevolence; the other represents yin and yang; the third represents heaven, earth, and man; and the fourth represents the unity of heaven, earth, and man.
Nothing is the beginning of all things, true love and nature without fighting;
The unity of knowledge and action, there is the mother of all things, heaven and earth, all things live.
Chinese philosophy is rich in the right time and place, and great wisdom. It pays attention to the balance of yin and yang, and the harmony of heaven, earth and man can produce all things.
