Prada Rongzhai held Michael Wang exhibition "Taihu"
Prada held artist Michael Wang exhibition "Taihu" at Prada Rongzhai. The exhibition is supported by the Prada Foundation and the exhibition will last from November 10 to January 8, 2023.
Michael Wang uses systems operating around the world as an art medium to create, focusing on climate change, species distribution, resource allocation and the global economy. In this exhibition, he created a series of works, focusing on the natural and cultural heritage of Taihu Lake District, while exploring the history of Chinese garden art, and raising pressing issues related to ecology, sustainable development and environmental restoration.
Michael Wang created this project partly inspired by the decoration of Prada Rong’s house, especially the patterns on the stained glass windows of the sunroom. They depict legendary stories in the life of Mr. Rong Zongjing, the owner of Rong's house, including scenes of Taihu Lake and Suzhou River, retaining memories of the distant past.
Michael Wang presents a series of sculptures and installations on the first floor and garden of Prada Rong House, exploring the relationship between humans and nature. They are based on large-scale environmental improvement actions that significantly improve the appearance of lakes and rivers in recent years, and at the same time reexamine the tradition of "literati's appreciation of stones" and literati's flower arrangement. The
exhibition will also exhibit the work "Taihu (hairy crab)", all models are made of algae produced in the lake. "Cultural Relics (Yixing Clay)" and "Cultural Relics (Meiling Jade)" contain a series of small works that draw inspiration from human cultural relics originating from the Taihu Lake area. The "Suzhou River (Pile)" series of sculptures originated from the architectural technology of ancient houses and modern warehouses along the Suzhou River. The installation "Shanghai Swamp" recreates some of the swamp ecosystem that has existed before Shanghai was built and has been lost in Prada Rongzhai Garden.

Moncler Maya 70 by Giambattista Valli is about to be released
On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the brand, Mengkeli Moncler launched the Moncler Maya 70 joint cooperation series, inviting seven designers to revive and interpret the classic Maya down jackets. The series is still continuing in full swing, and this time it will be launched is a new interpretation brought by Italian fashion designer Giambattista Valli to Moncler Maya 70.
As the fifth co-designer of the series, Giambattista Valli continues to use her personal romantic design, using her iconic long feather elements to two long and short Moncler Maya women's jackets. The short bubble gum pink jacket and the long snow-white jacket are decorated with a large number of warm cloud-like feathers, bringing the atmosphere of a winter wonderland.
Giambattista Valli believes that feathers are not decorations, but materials that blur the boundaries of space.The idea for this design is to remove the feathers from the inside of the jacket and embellish the exterior of the clothing. This extremely romantic style is also the design narrative perspective that Giambattista Valli always adheres to.
This cooperation series will be officially released on November 12.
