"Metro Exodus" animator Andrii Korzinkin died of injury during a battle mission to defend his motherland Ukraine . Like many other Ukrainian game developers, Korzinkin decided to volunteer to join the army to fight Russia.

His former colleague Leonid Stepanov posted the obituary, in which he tweeted

A talented animator, an incredible person, a real hero. Rest in peace, friend. We all miss you. Andre is known in the industry for his involvement in the development of 4A Games' Metro: Escape. There, he created a lot of high-quality animations.

Some of Andre’s inspiration comes from Cory Barlog’s work. He was impressed by the quality of directorial and photography of God of War. But he also likes Cory Barlog's own path, as he was also an animator early in his career.

This is why, in addition to improving his abilities as an animator, Andre expanded other skills needed for game development (design and coding). One day to create the project he dreams of. Unfortunately, this is no longer possible.
