After the Pluto Chapter of "Saint Seiya" ended, Masami Kurumada actually created a comic " Seiya Seiya " before his contract with Shueisha expired. According to Masami Kurumada himself, he worked hard for this comic and studied a lot of information.
However, this comic was not ideal after being serialized, so the serialization was interrupted. Before leaving Shueisha, Kurumada Masami said goodbye to everyone on the last page of this comic.

What kind of comic is this? Friends born in the 1980s who have read this comic may have blurred memories. Today we are going to find out why Masami Kurumada, who became famous with "Saint Seiya" at the time when she was at her peak, failed so badly when she created "Quiet Warrior"?
Let’s listen to the story.
1, biopunk

"Shou" was created in 1992. Although Masami Kurumada himself said that he researched a lot of information for this comic, in fact, anyone who has read this comic can almost see at a glance that "Shou" is not much different from Masami Kurumada's previous works "Saint", "Fuuma Kojiro", "Osaka" and so on.
If the only difference is that the guardian constellations of the Saints are replaced by creatures that appear on the earth, including all extinct and modern animals.

As long as he shouts, he will transform into a quiet warrior, still in the same holy cloth mode, and the concept of biological guardianship actually comes from another very popular Japanese comic at the time, " Forced Breeding Armor " created by Yoshiki Takaya in 1985. The concept expressed in
's "Strong Breeding Armor" is that aliens created humans and used biotechnology to fuse humans with other creatures to become alien combat soldiers - animal soldiers.

Yoshiki Takaya has conceived a complete set of logical systems and world views for the beast warriors, the standard equipment unit G of the alien descendants, the beast warriors and the beast god generals, the test subjects abandoned on the earth, the resurrection of the beast gods in modern times, etc. This whole system coupled with the fusion of biopunk makes "Forced Armor" full of charm.
But Masami Kurumada's 1992 "Quiet Warriors" has a much thinner plot. After 3.5 billion years of evolution, the human brain can awaken the evolutionary residues left in the body and cause evolution, which means it has the powerful power of super creatures.

These new humans who were able to evolve formed the human race of gods and began to attack human society and wanted to destroy humanity. They were divided into three levels, namely, the Quiet Fighter, the Medium Fighter and the Bishop, which are no different from the bronze, silver and gold among the Saints.
As we all know, script conception is Kurumada Masami's weakness, because there are many inconsistencies in the "Saint Seiya" manga, and this is even more true in "Still Fighter". How can the DNA of other creatures remain in the human brain?

What is the material of this transformed armor? Why don’t humans who are capable of evolution help others evolve as well? Why do gods and humans want to destroy humans? Wouldn't coexistence or colonization be a better way? If everyone were gods and humans, wouldn't it be impossible to express their own strength?
Regarding the treatment of human beings, the plot of "Forced Armor" is much more reasonable. After the beast god General Kronos ruled the human race, he used biotechnology to allow everyone to accept beast soldiers. There is no more war. People can transform into beasts whenever they want. In addition to having to obey the thought waves of the beast god general, most human beings' lives are more advanced than before.

2, battle logic
"Saint Seiya" also has a victory logic, which is that Athena protects world peace, fights against Poseidon and Pluto who are trying to destroy mankind, and finally defeats them and protects mankind.
But in "Quiet Warrior", there is no such war logic. The protagonist has been an orphan since he was a child. A 13-year-old middle school student suddenly completed his evolution after crying and became a new human being with power.

At this time, he met someone who had the same ability to transform as him. Logically speaking, shouldn't they be the same kind? They don't care who wins or loses, isn't it human beings who are the worst? We humans bet on one side, and the other side perishes. Who can guarantee that the winning side will keep its promise to mankind?
The best way is to let these two groups of people fight each other. There will never be a winner until they are exhausted. It is best for both parties to burp. This is the best situation for mankind.

Many of the Quiet Fighters can be found in the Saint Seiya. For example, the Bat Fighter is clearly the Toad Jaros next to the three giants of the underworld Radamandis, who once bullied Aquarius Camus. The Buffalo Guruga looks very much like the Golden Saint Taurus Arudiba .
Especially Guruga's betrayal is almost exactly the same as Aludiba's betrayal of Seiya in Taurus Palace.

In fact, these are secondary. The appearance of Shizuzu Sho is almost the same as that of Saint Seiya. Even if the author is the same person, we can't always use Seiya's head as a model. At least we should change the model. I think Shun is fine.

And the fights between the quiet warriors are not interesting either. They are the same middle two, shouting this trick while seeing who the balance of fate is leaning towards. Victory or failure all depends on fate, and there is no combat power value or energy as a reference.
The momentum of the soldiers is almost the same as that of the bishop. You can't tell who is the master and who is the rookie.

Among the gods and humans on the evolutionary side, there are clearly defined evolutionary ladders, including dinosaur soldiers, lower-level fighters, intermediate fighters, upper-level fighters, nuns, bishops, and city lords.
Anyone with a discerning eye will know at a glance that they didn't think carefully about this series of names. They probably made the decision with a slap on the forehead, adding nuns and bishops at the top, middle and bottom, and finally the city lord. Together with such a large group of bad guys, they are occupying a castle and causing trouble, right?

After the serialization of "Shizui Warriors", it was quickly cut in half, and fans didn't really buy it. So Masami Kurumada said goodbye to everyone in the last issue of "Shizui Warriors" serialization. Although time has passed, Xiang's shadow will always remain in everyone's heart...
This is true, because from that time on, Xiang was almost synonymous with some kind of excrement.

Masami Kurumada said that she read a lot of information. I think this may be true, because the Quiet Warriors, like the Saints, have an armor system. This set of props is very exquisite. However, the story itself is not exciting. It only thinks about the best interests and peripheralization. Who will buy it?
