In a recent interview, the Rock-Dawn Johnson, who played the leading role in the upcoming DC superhero film " Black Adam ", said that the "full meaning" of bringing the character Black Adam to the big screen in his own independent film is to make a movie that will one day compete with Superman. Johnson said in a conversation with CinemaBlend that this has long been the goal of the character.
"I've been saying that a new era in the DC universe is about to begin," Johnson said. "I mean introducing a whole new character. It's not a sequel, not an existing IP... Two years ago, the whole world didn't know who Black Adam was. Now we know, but the rest of the public didn't know. What I really mean is, 'This is a new era in the DC universe', is listening to the voice of fans. Doing the best of all to give fans what they want."
Johnson said that part of listening to fans is to let Superman collide with Black Adam head-on. Just last summer at Comic-Con Anime Con, I thought fans asked who would win when Black Adam and Superman 1v1. Johnson said in an interview with Variety Show that "it will depend on who plays Superman."
"Black Adam" will be released on October 21. This movie will bring many members from the "American Justice Association", including Hawkman (Aldis Hodge), Dr. Destiny (Pierce Brosnan), Tornado (Quintessa Swindell) and Atom Smasher (Atom Smaker, Noah Centineo).
