Among the award-winning works of the previous China International New Media Short Film Festival, there are many excellent animation works. They pay attention to reality, imagine the future, place their emotions on them, and use unique expressions to convey the core of the creator's thoughts. Among the entries of

Today, we interviewed Da Shou Shou, the judge of the animation group of the main competition unit of the 11th China International New Media Short Film Festival, and talked about his views on animated short films and his feelings about participating in the selection.

CSFF: is the judge of the 11th Short Film Festival, how do you feel about ?

After reading the film, I found that if the animation short film is compared with the live-action short film, the degree of excitement is almost the same. Whether it is an animation or a live-action short film, the author takes a long time to render the work, and has a certain degree of professionalism, regardless of the creative technique or the form of expression. It is also the spiritual core of the work, and I have learned a lot from this selection work.
CSFF: So what do you think of the quality of the animation works participating in this year's short film festival? Are there any works that make your eyes shine? What are the highlights that impressed you?
Big thin and thin: I think the quality of is pretty good. If the number of places is not limited, I think there are more than 20 of them that are completely possible to be shortlisted and qualified for the final award. The entry that impressed me was a short Chinese animation. Although the work was only more than five minutes old and the style of painting was not particularly prominent, the main reason was that the characters in it were relatively rare in domestic film and television works. It is hard to see in the Chinese-speaking market like Japan’s lost firewood loser-style perception. The character lines are very philosophical, fun and thought-provoking. Although short but very clever, the ending is meaningful and even touches me.
CSFF: There have been some very high-quality animation works on the market in the past two years, such as "Jiang Ziya" and "Nezha: The Devil Child". How do you think the market value of today's animated short films should be reflected?

CSFF: You have very rich experience in film copywriting, planning, and word of mouth. What elements do you think a high-quality animated short film should have?
Big and thin: I think the short film is mainly to be creative. Because its duration determines that the characters in the short film will certainly not be as rich as the long film, so compared with the feature film, the only thing that can win the short film is that it is short and simple. Especially in this new media era, the audience's reading habits are instant and intelligent. Dissemination and fragmentation, the media tends to be mobile. In this context, the animated short film isIt is more in line with modern people's life and reading habits. I think stories and characters are second. An animated short film can attract people as long as there is a good idea. In the selection, I still saw short films that were only one minute long, but I felt that they were very creative, and the content and information expressed within a limited time were sufficient and the emotions were in place, which left a deep impression on me.
CSFF: What do you think is the potential of animated short films?
Big thin and thin: is aimed at domestic creators, I think everyone can play freely, and then be more creative, because I have been immersed in the entire film industry for a long time, in the field of animation short films, in fact, the entire industry and the market There is still a lot of room left for our creators, and the connotation and extension that animation can express is also very large. As long as it is within the scope of content supervision, no matter how unreasonable it is, it may be a feature film or entering the hospital. The advantage that the film of the line cannot have.
In the field of short films, creation is relatively free. You can express what you really want to express. This is a kind of potential. The freedom of is even a potential of various types of short films. This potential is not only reflected in the perspective of animation, it can also allow short film creators to be discovered and tapped by the market or by some companies that appreciate him more quickly. .
