A successful film usually has two criteria: box office and word-of-mouth; a good film has only one evaluation criteria: whether there will be audiences ten or twenty years later, and whether the audiences ten or twenty years ago will return remember.
The core elements of successful films and good films from my personal perspective are two points: director and actor.
A good director is first of all sentimental and ideal, secondly he is proficient in storytelling, and thirdly he is good at knowing people (role selection). A simple story, a group of young actors, in the hands of a good director, will turn into an excellent movie.
A good actor, first of all, has feelings and ideals, second is proficient in interpreting stories, and third is good at mastering roles. A plain story, in the hands of a good actor, will turn into a wonderful interpretation.
A good director directs himself; a good actor plays himself. When directors and actors cease to be themselves, no matter how famous directors and actors are playing cards, they can only be a patchwork hodgepodge. Many celebrity directors and actors have become small films but have lost to blockbuster films, which means they have lost themselves. There is nothing more than one reason behind the loss: business interests.
People who pursue their dreams are recognized, followed by benefits; the improvement of social status makes it easier to make money, and it is natural to earn more benefits; on the road of chasing benefits, they fall down again. Often perform endless plays. It is fate, but also law. If
regards the life development of an enterprise as a series of movies, the truth is the same. If you want to sing well in corporate dramas, you also need a good director and a good actor.
The director in an enterprise is the decision-maker or the boss of the enterprise. Whether the movie of the enterprise can be performed well depends on the director of the enterprise. The accessible height and long-term development of an enterprise depends on the feelings and ideals of the director of the enterprise; whether the development process of the enterprise is magnificent or unsurprising depends on the way and level of guiding the story; whether the development result of the enterprise is exciting depends on it. Can the directors of the company choose suitable actors? Actors in an enterprise are naturally employees of the enterprise. Whether the company can perform well in this movie depends on whether the employees’ feelings are consistent with their ideals; secondly, whether they can develop together with the company and form a community; and finally, they are competent to perform the assigned roles.
In the film and television industry, there is a saying that "guide and perform better, and perform better, lead"; the same goes for the corporate world. It's just that, if you direct and excellent, you will act, and most of them fail; it is indeed common for you to lead with excellent performance. For a company, the first step is to provide a stage for each actor to perform; choosing a good actor and pushing the actor to the foreground is the primary task of the corporate director. Secondly, every actor has a director dream; when the company develops to a certain scale, the director of the company should become the general director and develop a group of small directors.
Of course, a movie also needs a lot of people behind the scenes, such as drama, props, camera, etc. Although the audience cannot see the work of these people behind the scenes, they are indeed indispensable in a movie. In companies, we are also often directors and actors, but we don't know their behind-the-scenes staffing and work; this is also one of the reasons why many companies are not successful in learning benchmarks.
enterprises need some "idlers", these idlers are the workers behind the scenes of the movie. If a company does not have "idle people", it will not show a good movie.
Finally, and the most important point: whether you are a director or an actor, if you blindly pursue commercial interests, you will not be able to make a good movie in the end.
