The drama is produced by Nanjing Performing Arts Group , and jointly produced by Nanjing Acrobatics Group and Beijing Jinling Magic World Cultural Media Group. It uses traditional cultural stories as the benchmark and tells the story of Nezha through a new narrative perspective.

It tells the story of Luo Tong, a primary school student with super brains, and Zhen Taiyi, accidentally fell into a wonderful different world. After several hardships, Luo Tong transformed into Nezha, worked together with his partners, and finally defeated Ao Bing. The three friends Luo Tong knew in the Dragon Palace of the East China Sea, Bai Lu, Quan Quan and Jiaojiao, corresponded to Fu Zhu, Xuan Turtle and Unicorn respectively. The enchanting sea monster that is everywhere in the play is Lingyu. In order to make the character image closer to the prototype of the divine beast, "I Am Nezha" restores the description in "Shan Hai Jing" as much as possible in terms of costume styling and color matching.
As the plot develops, many key plots in "I am Nezha" have cleverly used magic. Nezha resists fire and soars straight into the sky, corners "turn into bubbles, floating balls", circles "conch turn heads", Luo Tong escapes thrillingly and turns into a living person...
