Thailand's local film box office topped 100 million yuan in 2019, and the lowest was less than 1,000 yuan

In the past year of 2019, China delivered with a total box office of 64.266 billion yuan and , and the domestic film market accounted for 64%.

So how about our friendly neighboring country-Thailand film market?

Compared with China's 1.4 billion population, Thailand has only 70 million population. Measured by this ratio, then Thailand should hand over a total box office of about 13 billion baht each year.

But in fact, in the past 2019, the total box office in Thailand for the whole year was about 20 billion baht , but it was 60 million baht more than in 2018.

In 2019, a total of 13 movies with a box office of over 100 million baht , of which 2 were Thai movies. In 2017 and 18, there were 12, which is an increase compared to that.
