The first lesson
1. Background knowledge
1. About the author
Lin Juemin (1887-May 1911), whose courtesy name is Dong, also known as Doufei, also known as Tianwaisheng, Han nationality, Min County, Fujian (today's Fuzhou City). Pioneer of Chinese democracy and revolutionary martyr. When he was young, he accepted the ideas of democratic revolution and advocated the theory of freedom and equality. While studying in Japan, he joined the Chinese Federation of China. He returned to China in the spring of 1911 and wrote his last work "A Letter to His Wife" on April 24. Later, he participated in the Guangzhou Uprising with his relatives Lin Yinmin, Lin Wensui, Huang Xing, Fang Shengdong and other revolutionaries. He was injured and exhausted during the battle and was captured. Later, he died calmly and was known as one of the "Seventy-two Martyrs of Huanghuagang" in history.
2. Writing background
On April 27, 1911, a group of young people with an average age of more than 20 years old set out on a journey to find their ideals. They were the seventy-two martyrs of the Huanghuagang Uprising. Later, eighty-six famous members of the Chinese Tongmenghui died. Among them, the remains of Yu Peilun, Fang Shengdong, Lin Juemin and other revolutionary patriots were recovered and buried in Honghuagang, Guangzhou. Later, Guangzhou's Honghuagang was also changed to Huanghuagang, and this uprising was called the Huanghuagang Uprising.
A farewell letter written to his wife Chen Yiying three days before the uprising - that is, on the evening of April 24th. At that time, he came to Hong Kong from Guangzhou to welcome the comrades who had returned from Japan to participate in the uprising, and lived in a small building by the river. At the end of the night, when everyone was quiet, he thought of the coming cruel and vigorous uprising with uncertainty about life and death, as well as his old father Long Zhong and his weak wife and child. His thoughts surged and he couldn't help himself. He wrote all night long and wrote farewells to his father and wife respectively. The books, namely "Letter to My Father" and "Letter to My Wife", were handed over to a friend after dawn, saying: "I am lucky enough to convey this to you when I die."
3. Style
Letters have a long history in China. Liu Xie said in " Literary Mind Diaolong·Secretary ": "Three generations of government were idle, and writing and writing were sparse. Spring and Autumn employment was numerous, and calligraphy was flourishing." This means that letters were produced as early as the Spring and Autumn Period, and after more than two thousand years, China has formed a unique cultural tradition of letters. Family affection, friendship, and love are conveyed and preserved through family letters, love letters, etc. Sima Qian's " Report to Ren Anshu", Ji Kang's " and Shan Juyuan's Book of Severance", Zhuge Liang's " Book of Commandments ", Zeng Guofan's "Zeng Guofan" "Family Letters", Lin Juemin's "Letter to His Wife", Lu Xun's " Letters from Two Places", Shen Congwen's "Congwen Family Letters", Fu Lei's "Family Letters from Fu Lei", etc. They have now become a kind of cultural classics, implanted in the emotional memory of the Chinese people.
When writing a letter, pay special attention to the format of the letter.Since letters are practical texts, they have their usual and fixed format:
(1) Title (recipient) (2) Greetings (3) Text (4) Congratulations (5) Signature (writer) and date
4. Evaluation
"Letter to My Wife" is even known as "China's most beautiful love letter in the 20th century". The only thing that is touching is that it is sincere and every word weeps. There is an indescribable true feeling everywhere. It is lingering and pathos, full of passion, and full of awe-inspiring righteousness. The passion of sacrificing one's life for the country and the deep love for his beloved wife blend and reflect each other. It can make people shed tears, but it is also soul-stirring and inspiring. Although a hundred years have passed, the charm of the article is still the same. The author's true love for his beloved wife and the demeanor of a revolutionary who "thinks about the world" and sacrifices his life for righteousness are still touching, and will be remembered for generations to come.

Second lesson
1. Thinking and discussion
1. How many things did the author recall in the letter? Summarize what each event is about.
made it clear: Three things were recalled. (1) Recalling the discussion between husband and wife about "who will die first", it shows that he originally did not want to die first and "leave the suffering" to his wife. (2) Recalling Yue’s true feelings shows that he really cannot forget his wife. (3) Recalling that he failed to tell his wife about the uprising before leaving home. These three things all contain deep love for your wife.
2. Why does the author say that "in today's China, there is no place in the country and there is no time to die"? What kind of social reality did this reflect at the time?
made it clear: Because "natural disasters can lead to death, thieves can die, partition days can lead to death, and traitorous officials can die by corrupting officials and abusing the people." It reflects the social reality that the society at that time was dark and the people were in dire straits.
3. What advice did the author give to his wife and children in the letter? What wishes did you write about yourself?
Instructions for the funeral: I hope that the children will follow their father's aspirations.
Three wishes: the first wish is to "cry and make peace" under the nine springs; the second wish is that there are real ghosts; the third wish is that the telepathic telepathic link is enlightened.
4. The whole text contains both "love" and "righteousness". What kind of "love" is this "love"? What is "righteousness"? How do the two come together?
makes it clear: "Qing" refers to the deep affection for one's wife and children; "Yi" refers to the great righteousness of dedicating oneself to national independence.
The deeper his love for his wife and children, the deeper his love for the country and nation. It is for his relatives and for every Congolese that the author would rather die than surrender, closely integrating his personal destiny with the survival of the nation.
2. Extended reading
Someone created the song "Jue (Lin Juemin from afar)" based on "A Letter to My Wife". The singer is Qi Yu. This song is interpreted based on the role of Chen Yiying, Lin Juemin's wife. Savor the lyrics and experience the emotions reflected in them, or you can taste it yourself and write a "reply letter" to Lin Juemin from Chen Yiying's perspective.
Jue (Remotely Sent to Lin Juemin)
Jue
When I saw your letter
I actually believed
A moment is eternity
No matter how hard it is to let go and let go
Sometimes I have to give up
sleep
When I look back at my dream
I have to believe
A moment is eternity
No matter how difficult it is to pursue and abandon
Sometimes I have to Abandon
Love does not begin
But it can only stop at the beginning

When I was lonely it was so real
I still have to believe
A moment can last forever
No matter how bitter the sweetness and truth are
Sometimes I have to deal with it
