On the afternoon of December 14, Shanghai Xiangshan Middle School, together with Minhang Middle School in Gyangze County, Tibet, and No. 1 Middle School in Gyangze County, Tibet, participated in the "Golden Pomegranate" theme activity of "Sharing the Aesthetic Education of the Times" for teachers and students in both places. The event was hosted by the Lingang Branch of Shanghai Pudong Education Development Research Institute, and carried out teaching practice and themed micro-lectures. All teachers and students of Minhang Middle School in Gyantse County, Tibet and No. 1 Middle School of Gyantse County, Tibet participated.
This event was taught by Qu Jianyuan, an art teaching researcher, special grade and full senior teacher of Shanghai Pudong Education Development Research Institute teacher "Lingang Smile - I Paint the Spirit of Lingang People" and a micro lecture "New Interpretation of "Brush and Ink Should Follow the Times" in the Heart of Art Teachers". Teacher Qu uses strong art skills, good classroom teaching control ability, and friendly teaching voice to teach in a step-by-step and ingenious manner. He uses the drawing of the principal as the starting point to arouse students' interest. He explains the character's face, facial features, expressions and painting steps in detail, allowing students to do it themselves while appreciating, giving full play to their imaginative thinking and hands-on ability, cultivating students' ability to discover beauty, appreciate beauty, explore beauty, and create beauty.
Teacher Qu mentioned in the micro lecture that "pen and ink should follow the times" and brought a new interpretation. Combining three vivid cases, it guided and inspired art teachers to think about "pen and ink should follow the times", so as to further actively apply it in art education and teaching. Teacher Qu also proposed that art teachers need to have the ability to capture important events of the times, so that they can combine painting with curriculum development and record and inherit the voice and energy of the times.
Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the party and the country have attached great importance to the work of aesthetic education. This is a developing country’s far-sighted approach to the construction of material and spiritual civilization, and it is also the only way to rejuvenate national culture. Learning to re-examine teachers' educational outlook, artistic outlook, and values in the era of educating people is the key ability and necessary character to improve students' literacy. I believe that aesthetic education will light up a better tomorrow. Let us sow the education and seeds of beauty in the hearts of every student, and use aesthetic education to help beautiful China dream of a powerful country.
