This competition lasts for 2 days and has 4 groups, namely the high school group, junior high school group, primary school group A and primary school group B. 33 teams from Haikou Primary and Secondary Schools, 649 contestants participated in the competition in 47 events.

It is understood that Haikou City's "learning swimming, preventing drowning, and understanding self-rescue" system education project has begun to show results, benefiting nearly 380,000 primary and secondary school students in Haikou City. Zhou Zhengxiong, chairman of the Trade Union of Haikou Education Bureau, said that as of now, a total of 38 swimming pools in the city have been completed. In addition, the Municipal Education Bureau has also increased its efforts in teacher training, providing swimming skills training to a group of physical education teachers every year, and at the same time, it has also cultivated batches of outstanding swimmer seedlings.
