As the saying goes, "The direction is wrong, and hard work is in vain."
In the Chinese language exam, the most serious thing about "injury" is that the composition is off topic. Fei Lao Dajin wrote an essay with neat handwriting, no typos, no grammatical problems, and he was happy to think that he could get high scores. As a result, the text was not correct, and the teacher only gave a few "hard points", and most of the points were deducted. The overall results have also dropped several levels, which is a pity.
Some students may feel wronged about this. I have read the question back and forth many times, but I still misunderstood the requirements of the question!
Indeed, the current composition requirements are often set up by the teachers who set questions, and the test-oriented compositions in the exam are completely different from when we practice writing. We don’t have much time to read and think repeatedly, and we don’t have time to revise repeatedly. If we don’t read carefully and have a certain degree of question review ability, it’s easy to fall into it. Today I will share with you three question review techniques to help students quickly and accurately figure out the requirements of composition in the exam so that they will not go off the line.
First, clarify the key points and find out the topic
review questions in three major directions, genre, content, and expression. When reviewing composition questions, you must determine these 3 directions, is it a semi-proposition or a proposition composition? Is the composition title self-written or the materials, topics, conditions, comics, imagination, and application text? Is it writing about people, noting events, describing scenery or scheming objects? These must be clarified.
In addition, find out the keywords in the composition requirements, namely "the topic eye", and determine the specific direction of the composition through "the topic eye". For example, the writing directions of these two propositions - "An Unforgettable Thing" and "An Unforgettable Funny" are very different in one word.
In the title "An Unforgettable Thing", the "image" is unforgettable and interesting; while the "image" of "An Unforgettable and interesting" is unforgettable and interesting. The former requires that it is just a "unforgettable" "thing", whether it is happy, sad, excited or profound; but the latter must be "unforgettable" "interesting things". If you write something sad and sad, it means off topic and misunderstanding.
Second, list outlines, clarify the theme and idea
The time is urgent. There is no chance of modification. The composition must be completed in one go, and even typos cannot be modified frequently. In order to ensure that the content of the composition always conforms to the meaning of the question, after reviewing the question and before formally starting writing, it is best to make the outline first, and have a few steps to simply list what things you want to express, what opinions and feelings you express, and then write them step by step according to the outline. It will not be easy to deviate from the topic or off topic, and it will be easy to get full marks.
Or take "An Unforgettable Fun Fact" as an example. What is the "interesting Fact" I want to write? Why is it "interesting"? How does it make you "unforgettable"? What words related to "interest" can be used to describe it? With the guidance of these outline content, the more you write the essay, the more you feel, and you always write around "unforgettable" "interesting things". When the teacher sees your article has a clear theme, he will give you high scores.
Don’t just want to be lazy and not list outlines just because you see that the exam time is not too long. Compared with writing a misunderstanding, this time is "wasteful". In addition, making outlines can help eliminate anxiety when writing an essay, and the efficiency will be higher.
Third, do more title exercises
Title is the overview and soul of an essay. A good title not only allows us to always have a clear direction in the process of writing the essay, so as not to off-topic, teachers can also judge our understanding and profile ability through the quality of the title, create a good first impression, and are more willing to give high scores.
You can usually read more composition topics and add more titles to the composition; you can also learn how the article is named in daily reading comprehension exercises.
