The full text of Huang Chenyu’s sharing is as follows:
Hello everyone, I am very honored to share my experience and some learning experience here. I also hope that my sharing can help everyone here and provide a reference for everyone.
In fact, I think that achieving today's results is inseparable from the following factors - belief, self-discipline, persistence, exploration, and mentality.
First of all, I want to talk to you about the word faith based on my personal experience. Since childhood, like the children around me, the adults around me have instilled the idea that when you grow up, you should take the Tsinghua University and Peking University exams. At that time, I didn’t know what Tsinghua University and Peking University meant to a person or a family, and I didn’t know how difficult it was to get into Tsinghua University. I only knew that it was one of the top universities in China. Maybe everyone has seen a similar video, saying that when you were in kindergarten, your dream was to be Tsinghua University and Peking University. After entering elementary school, it became 985 211, when you entered junior high school, it became one, and then when you entered high school, it became a university. But Internet jokes are Internet jokes after all. Although I was still far away from the college entrance examination at that time, I always firmly believed that I was not far away from a famous school. Therefore, among the peers I grew up with, I strengthened my faith; when some classmates set the goal of Hua Wu C9, I held on to my faith; when my grades were still lagging behind others, I held on to my faith. There is a saying that "Only when you have dreams in your heart can you see the distance; only when you have a road in your heart can you walk steadily." It is precisely because I always have faith in my heart that I have the motivation to keep chasing the road ahead. As the saying goes, "The stars do not ask who travels, and the years do not fail those who are determined." No matter how many doubts we receive, no matter how much confusion we receive at home, we still have firm faith and move forward towards the set goals, which is why we have achieved today's achievements. .
Secondly, I want to talk about self-discipline. Bernard Shaw once said: "Self-control is the instinct of the strongest." Plato once said: "Self-control is a kind of order, a kind of control of happiness and desire." Compared with heteronomy, self-discipline is indeed a kind of An internal drive originating from the heart can prompt people to make continuous progress and move forward. But rather than saying it is an instinct, it can be turned into an instinct. The premise of self-discipline is belief. Only with belief can you have the motivation to drive yourself to self-discipline. In fact, I am the same as other children. I was a playful child when I was a child, but because of certain differences in habits, I developed self-discipline.My family has implemented a reward system since I was a child. If I finish my homework, I can go out to play or play with electronic products for entertainment. If I do well in the exam, my family will also reward me. Therefore, since I was a child, I have been accustomed to finishing my homework first, and even after finishing it in school, I will do other things. Therefore, I gradually developed the habit of not procrastinating and being efficient. I still remember when I first entered junior high school, the teacher asked each of us what goals and pursuits we had. I said that during the three years of junior high school, I should strive to complete my homework in school every day. The teacher just smiled and said that such an idea is difficult, but... With my self-discipline, I did it. What self-discipline has brought me is not only an improvement in efficiency, but also the ability to resist temptation. Because I have clear goals and what to do at what time, and my family has never banned me from playing games, they just made three rules. So although you may think that I have been playing games since I was a child, I am not addicted to them. If you can develop the habit of self-discipline, be praised by the world without persuasion, criticize by the world without being discouraged, judge the difference between internal and external, and argue between honor and disgrace, you will be much better than your peers.
Furthermore, I want to talk about persistence. Sticking to this matter is as small as getting up at what time every day, practicing a page of words, and previewing knowledge in advance; as big as it is being consistent for seven or eight years, rain or shine. My dad is a living example. He insisted on sending me to school for eight years to make it easier for me to go to school. For the sake of my health and family, he quit smoking and kept running every day. Persistence also requires faith and self-discipline. If there is no dream in the heart, there will be no motivation to persist; if there is no inner self-discipline, there will be no reliance on persistence. Persistence is inherently difficult. Just like when I was in junior high school and completed my homework every day, I never defaulted on homework in high school. Many of my classmates only had three days of enthusiasm. I have to memorize the words I should memorize every day, and I must insist on answering the questions I need to answer. I have done dozens of sets of papers in just my third year of high school, which is indeed difficult for ordinary people to compare with. The road to persistence is also a bumpy road. There are never any immediate results, there are just mountains of soil and abyss of water, repeated day after day. Maybe sometimes your persistence will not be understood, and sometimes your persistence will not be rewarded for a long time, and sometimes others may not pay as much as you but do better than you. Our teacher often tells us, "Do good deeds without worrying about the future." On the way to perseverance, we should take a long-term view and not be obsessed with temporary gains and losses, so that we can finally see the bright future.
Then, I want to talk about exploration. We often say that "predecessors planted trees for future generations to enjoy the shade", but learning this path may not always be the case. Everyone’s learning methods and habits are different. No one can completely copy someone else’s path. Only by constantly trying and exploring can you find the path that suits you best. For example, when I was in elementary school and junior high school, I always studied before playing, and many people were even unwilling to do homework; when I was in high school, I insisted on combining work and rest, and did not use fatigue tactics, but many of my classmates have been working hard to get the papers, even at the expense of every day. I spent the only night off on Sunday studying hard at school. For another example, when I was reviewing for the college entrance examination, I did not stick to the school's review materials, but looked for more test papers and materials online. This seemed very unconventional at the time because very few people were doing it like me. But I firmly believe that what suits you is the best. However, the road of exploration is also difficult. There is no reference for the experience of previous seniors and classmates, and there are no classmates who choose the same learning mode. I am the only one who keeps trying and exploring to find the learning path that suits me best. Before you get results, you will continue to doubt yourself whether what you are doing is correct and whether you can achieve gratifying results. However, exploration is a process of growth. If you take too many detours and bump into too many walls, you will be calmer when encountering problems and your mentality will be more peaceful. Perhaps this kind of experience will be more meaningful than the result itself. When you encounter it in the exam Problems will be dealt with more calmly.
Finally, I want to talk about mentality. I don’t know if you have heard this saying, “In addition to study, the college entrance examination competition also has mentality.” “The mentality accounts for half of the college entrance examination.” Indeed, mentality is particularly important for exams and even daily study life.A good attitude can make you full of passion for learning, unafraid of difficulties and problems, and overcome obstacles in the examination room; but a poor attitude can make you unable to recover, depressed for a long time, and even lose the motivation to study. Everyone will be frustrated, but only by adjusting can we continue to compete with others. I still remember that for a long time in my senior year of high school, I was always at the bottom of the class, and I was indeed depressed and uncomfortable all day long. But thinking about the goal I was striving for and having long conversations with my family several times, I became motivated to study again. Depression can't bring you anything. Only by getting out of depression and understanding yourself correctly can you make continuous progress. So I began to analyze the reasons for my sluggish performance, and continued to analyze the test questions to find the gap between me and others. Finally, I discovered that sometimes poor performance is just a superficial difference and does not mean that I have no ability. Later, the long-term high-pressure exam training also made me more indifferent to the fluctuations in grades, and I became more calm about grades. Gradually, I only regarded them as a number. It is precisely because of this that although I did not perform to the extreme in mathematics, which is the subject of much criticism throughout the country in this year's college entrance examination, at least I did not lag behind, and I did not have the confidence to face the next exam like other students. I was even more confident. It also corresponds to the saying "mentality accounts for half of the college entrance examination."
The above are some of my experience sharing. As long as you have faith, ensure self-discipline, persevere, continue to explore, and maintain your mentality, I believe that everyone can achieve success on the road of learning. Thank you for listening!
