On July 24, the book series "Oxford English in China" jointly compiled and published by Beijing Education Media Company, Beijing Education Press and Oxford University Press (China) Co., Ltd. under the Beijing Edition Group, was published in 50 countries around the world. Out of more than 180 projects in China and the region, it won the ELTons International English Teaching Innovation Award 2021 Local Teaching Innovation Award Nomination Award. This award is the first time that the Chinese publishing industry has been nominated for the ELTons Local Teaching Innovation Award.
On October 4th, the 6 nominated projects will compete for the grand prize. The final results will be announced at the awards ceremony in London, UK, and will be broadcast live to the world.
The ELTons International English Teaching Innovation Award is hosted by the British Council and is one of the highest honors in the field of English teaching innovation worldwide. Based on the principle of "using world languages, telling Chinese stories", Beijiao Media Company cooperated with Oxford University Press to form a team of Chinese and foreign English education experts, and compiled the "Oxford English in China" series of books to let young people around the world English learners can intuitively understand a vibrant, culturally rich, interesting and beautiful China, so that Chinese primary and middle school students can confidently tell Chinese stories to the world and become disseminators of Chinese culture with international affinity. The complete series of 108 books of "Oxford English and China" will be published in 2022.
